My New Pair of Shooties

I think there is something with the Christmas season that makes me want to shop and shop. As much as I wanna save up for something for this coming summer, there are just so many irresistible things out there! Since I have been going to the malls almost everyday for the past weeks, temptations are sooo near! Hahaha! Result: I bought something that I have been loving for some time now… another shooties!

My new pair of shooties are in black patent. They are really comfortable to wear since the heels are not too thin. Aside from the peep toe design, I also love the detail as seen in the picture. I have always loved boots that have that crumpled effect and now I got it in my shooties! Since I’m not fond of wearing boots here in the Philippines considering the hot weather here, shooties are like answered prayers for me! LOL! :-)

And by the way, I bought this for only Php 1,200 (around $ 24) at Janilyn (a Filipino brand that offers high quality shoes). It also comes in gray. :-)

Our Unique Gifts for Mom and Dad

I’m sure most of you still have the Christmas hangover. The great news- we do not have classes/ work until January 2, 2009! But this ultimate long vacation is only good here in the Philippines. Oh wait, let me take that back… I don’t think it is great news at all, especially for those running a business. The vacation is too long! But anyways, we can’t do anything about it anymore. The government has declared it already so we just need to enjoy it. So what better way to enjoy a long vacation??? An out-of-town/ out-of-country trip! Wait, I am feeling depress again after saying that!!! I need to rant here… I’m sorry! I was supposed to go to Hong Kong and Macau for this long vacation BUT I can’t get any flights anymore!!! What a bummer! Then my mom decided to just get a flight to Malaysia and stay there for 5 days, again a big BUT, all prices of tour packages are sooo high already. Well, that is expected! Everyone wants to go on vacation and we just started to look for flights a week ago. Oh well, I have to stop feeling depress here! Christmas has just ended and the mood should still be happy/ jolly right?!

Anyways, going back to my real topic… I’m sorry I have to rant here. Oh and to my friends who have been requesting me to blog about my travels, I promise I will try to share with you the places I’ve been to in the future. It’s just quite hard to make a post because I know how long that post would come out. So maybe if I get the luxury of time! Anyway, let me just share here the two happiest people I’ve seen this Christmas! My parents! Well, I don’t exactly know if they are actually happy and excited with our gift or is it just us?! An Early “Christmas” Gift

OMG! Time really flies…TOMORROW is the day we have been waiting for! It’s CHRISTMAS!!! Wheee!!! This has always been my favorite season of the year. Aside from the cool weather here in the Philippines, I just love the festive surroundings! Even with the evident economic crisis experienced in most countries, Filipinos never fail to celebrate the birth of Jesus. And of course, it is the season of giving which is why streets everywhere are like huge parking lots! Cars are stuck on the streets.  Traffic is just everywhere! And admittedly, I am one of those who cause traffic. I love to go to malls and bazaars to shop for Christmas gifts. As time passes by, my friends keep on growing in number, which means my Christmas list also becomes longer and longer every year. In fact, I just came to realize last weekend how much I have spent for the past weeks. Oh, headache! When I saw my mom’s Christmas list last week, I started to hope that mine won’t grow that long in the future. LOL! :-) She gives to more than a thousand individuals… no exaggeration! She can actually run for public office. LOL! :-)

But anyways, I’m one of the lucky people who received an early Christmas gift from my mom. :-) Actually, it is not a Christmas gift as she is not allowed to give gifts this year since my grandmother died (a Chinese custom that we have to follow). So let’s just say we went to the mall last Friday and when I saw it and tried on it, she bought it for me. And since I have it with me already, it is not really a Christmas gift. Strappy Ankle Boots

First of all, I’d like to apologize for not posting religiously. The past few days have really been hell for me. I have been very, very busy. I’m not complaining. In fact, I love work since it equates to moolah, which means more budget for my collection! LOL! So bring it on! :-)

Anyways, moving on… I have always loved strappy shoes. They look so feminine and sexy! This is why when gladiators started to become popular, I felt sooo elated! LOL! I know I am such an exaggerated person! LOL! :-) But my gawd, with the evolution of boots to becoming strappy, I am left speechless. They are just sooo gorgeous! Take a look at the Chanel strappy ankle boots below to see what I’m talking about.

By the way, I just wanna share my depression recently. I saw a very, very similar strappy ankle boots at Aldo last Monday. The differences? Well, one is the heels, which are thinner. The other is the back part of the shoes, which is open but has long straps so you could lace it up if you want to. When I saw it, I immediately fell in love with the shoes. But how lucky am I! They are only left with a size 6. OMG! This isn’t happening!!! And did I say that the lovely shoes is on sale??? From almost Php 6,500 ($ 130), the priced dropped to Php 1,000 ($ 20)! Oh yeah, for those who are not aware, there is a sale going on which they extended until January 4, 2009 at the 3rd floor of Dimensione, Bonifacio High Street . Brands include Aldo, Charles and Keith, Pedro, Adidas, Celio, etc. Discounts are up to 70% off! Imagine Charles and Keith flats for about Php 150 ($ 3)! Beat that!

P.S. And since the strappy ankle boots of Aldo can’t fit me, I relentlessly asked my dear friend Flair Candy to buy it for herself. Oh, I just hope she did! Even in that way, I’d be so happy seeing someone wearing the stuffs I love! LOL! :-)

Accessory Organizer

I am one of those accessory freaks. Yeah, I know I seem to collect a lot of things- from bags, shoes, clothes, sunglasses, etc. Well, for those who don’t understand, it’s a girl thing and a love for fashion thing. LOL! :-) But I used to collect different kinds of accessories. I have tons and tons of them. Most of which I don’t buy. Hahaha! It is actually my mom and my aunt who loves shopping for accessories. For more than 4 years now, they never fail to buy accessories EVERY SUNDAY. And since they know I collect as well, they always buy for me too. And take note, the accessories they love are not the simple ones. There are those that came from Tibet, India, and others that produce “exotic” accessories. Hehehe! Prices vary. It can go as low as Php 500 ($10) to as high as Php 20,000 ($400). More than that is too much. They’d rather buy the real thing or the precious stones, which are also part of their jewelry addiction (Well, I think all women, or let me say MOST women, have a thing with diamonds and pearls right?). So okay, maybe by now you guys know where I got my addiction for so many things! LOL! :-)
