That’s what I need. ๐Ÿ™‚ As part of my birthday celebration, my friends and I hopped on to our surfboards as the waves brought us to La Union! ๐Ÿ™‚ I want to do something different for my birthday as my celebration has always been nightouts, house parties, dinner or lunch treats. Ever since I tried out surfing last July, my feeling of wanting to go back to La Union never died. It’s now something I wanna do over and over again, if time allows. ๐Ÿ™‚ The road trip to La Union, the company of friends, the relaxing beach, the adrenalin rush, the fun, the accomplishment when I get to stand on the surfboard- all make the surfing experience one of the best memories in my life. And now that it’s the weekend after my birthday and it’s a long weekend, which makes it even better, surfing is definitely the perfect birthday celebration, eh?! ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, that was the plan. I’m actually in La Union, at least that part happened. The “hopping on the surfboards as the waves bring us to La Union” didn’t! Well, obviously it can never happen. Hello?! Hehehe! ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s not like I was supposed to go to Manila Bay and wait for some waves to bring me to La Union waters! Hehehe! I obviously rode a car going to La Union. What I meant with “it didn’t happen” is there are no waves to be found here!!! Na-da! Not even baby waves! It’s like a big, big swimming pool out there! Waaaah! Well, we sort of know that there’s not much waves like what we had last July because the forecast said so, but we still went all the way here as we can’t believe that La Union waters can be as calm as the swimming pool! Haiz! ๐Ÿ™

Anyway, we still have hope! Tomorrow is another day. We are hoping for a better forecast tomorrow and Sunday! ๐Ÿ™‚ Well, if there’s none, our trip is still not a waste. The beach is still and will always be an excellent way to have a break from the city life. ๐Ÿ™‚
