Spring (or summer in the other parts of the world, like here in Manila) is definitely here! 😀 Says who? Says me! Well, the weather? I know, not quite so. 🙁 BUT the colorful flowers in bloom we’ve been seeing both on the runway and red carpet scream “It’s time for SPRING!!!”, so why not set aside your minimalist outfits first and get into this blooming, youthful, chic and sweet trend? 😉

The floral trend is not something new. We’ve already seen and worn these prints in the past years. I guess florals are just hard to let go and definitely hard to ignore. 🙂 Those colorful and bold prints can surely make you a head turner. And who said floral prints can only be worn in resorts or casual occasions? It may have that resort-ish vibe, but florals can also be worn as an evening attire, take for example Rihanna, Chloe Sevigny and Kirsten Dunst. My personal favorite in the photos above is Erdem’s gorgeous S/S 11 collection. I just love how this party dress go well with the intricate lace detail. It makes the entire ensemble look so feminine. 😀 The washed-out effect of the floral prints almost looked like abstract, making it unique and modern. 🙂

With this, await for my next outfit post, which I shot in a very historical place here in the Philippines! 😉
