Blooming in Spring

As mentioned in my previous post, we can feel (or rather “see”) that spring (summer, in my case here in Manila) is already here, even if the weather doesn’t seem like it. Flowers have started to bloom on the runway and red carpet. Exciting, right? icon smile Blooming in Spring And so, in my first out of town trip this summer, I decided to wear something youthful, sweet and blooming. icon smile Blooming in Spring

I shot these photos in Corregidor, one of the historical places in the Philippines. More about my trip to Corregidor in a separate post. icon smile Blooming in Spring

Anyway going back to my outfit, we were asked to wear comfortable clothes. The brochure says, there would be a lot of walking to do- the reason why it’s just wise to wear flats. icon smile Blooming in Spring Since I already expected that it would be a hot and sunny day, my only choices were either to wear shorts or a dress. Well, for those who don’t want to get dark, pants and a sheer long sleeves would probably do. That’s definitely not me! I need to get some tan! My friends have been telling me I get whiter and whiter every time they see me. They have been asking me to get some sun for the past few weeks because of my color. Ugh! icon sad Blooming in Spring Surfing is a must soon!!! icon sad Blooming in Spring So there, I decided to wear a dress. But since it’s an island, I thought it must be windy so I had to wear a little shorts underneath this really short and puffy dress. icon smile Blooming in Spring I don’t want to experience a peek-a-boo!!! LOL!

If you noticed, I barely wore any accessories, which is so not me in my outfit posts. Well, I try to minimize my accessories when I stay out in the sun. I can’t stand having those chains around my neck and tons of metal bangles around my arms while perspiring. It’s irritating! I feel like they’re sticking on my skin. Plus, I don’t want to get dark while having an outline of my necklace, bracelets and watch. This is why I just chose to wear a set of pearl earrings and a leather bracelet, which is a good option if you easily get irritated with gold/ silver pieces. Leather bracelets are light weight too, unlike those metal bangles. It still feels comfortable to have an arm candy, despite the unbearable heat. It’s as if you’re wearing nothing. icon smile Blooming in Spring Well obviously, I’m not talking about those thick leather kind of bracelets that you have to wear tightly around your arm. icon wink Blooming in Spring

Aside from the fact that flowers are blooming this spring/ summer, I thought of wearing this colorful dress to match my background. Since Corregidor is a historical place, I already expected my background to be antique, nostalgic and somehow monochromatic. To add color to my photos, a floral dress would be a perfect contrast to my background. Yes, I somehow think of my outfit based on where I’m going to shoot my outfit posts. LOL! icon smile Blooming in Spring I’m now getting addicted in generating lovely photos that I could share here in my blog. icon smile Blooming in Spring Ummm… Actually, that’s the reason why I got a new toy recently. icon wink Blooming in Spring
