When Clinique launched the new formulation of their famous Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion, my mom reacted semi-violently, bugging me with the big question “WHY?!” It has worked perfectly on her throughout the years, why is there a need to change it?! If there’s one particular brand that she sticked with for more than a decade now, it would be Clinique. She actually owes her youthful glow to the brand. Clinique’s 3-step skincare system has been her staple that she seriously can’t live without it! Being a die-hard fan, I guess my mom’s reaction on the reformulation of the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion voices out the sentiments of most loyal users too.

- just like the old DDML, it comes in a pump bottle container, which keeps the moisturizer free from bacteria unlike jar containers. Note that I only have the tester that’s why it doesn’t have the pump mechanism.
- it feels very light.
- it’s easily absorbed by my skin.
- it doesn’t feel greasy at all. Just make sure to apply ample amount of moisturizer, especially if you have oily skin.
- it has a more runny texture compared to the old Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer. Having oily skin, I appreciate the texture now since it’s not sticky nor greasy. It doesn’t mean though that it’s less moisturizing for those with dry skin. As said earlier, the moisturizer is absorbed by the skin easily.
- it’s priced nicely at PHP 880 (50ml) and PHP 1,900 (125ml). For a luxury brand, it’s actually pretty affordable!
- like any Clinique products, it’s allergy tested.

- Use day and night after cleansing and toning the skin.
- For those with very oily, use only at night. You can also try Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, which is specifically made for combination to oily skin.
- For combination skin, concentrate on drier areas of the skin.
- Do not forget to include the neck area when moisturizing.
- When used during the day, apply sunblock after.
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ Verdict
Honestly, I was surprised that the new Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ would work on my oily skin. It’s so light that it doesn’t feel greasy at all. It didn’t cause me to be extra oily. I tried the old formulation several years back, but it didn’t quite work well on my oily skin. I find this new formulation less thicker and fast absorbing. I also noticed that my skin looks supple and feels softer in the morning whenever I use it at night. Although it’s formulated for very dry to dry skin, I still don’t mind using it especially at night.
I also asked my mom to try the new DDML+ and she was very happy. She even stocked up already since she’s about to finish her old DDML. She said, the new DDML+ has practically the same feel as the old one, especially when it comes to moisturization. Her skin is left hydrated throughout the day.
I recommend Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ to those looking for a powerful moisturizer minus the greasy feel. It’s also for those with sensitive skin.
