For those who have been reading my blog, you probably know how much I love oversized watches. Rarely will you see me wearing a ladies watch. On formal occasions, like weddings, sometimes I’d rather not wear a watch simply because I’m not used to seeing a small-faced watch on my wrist. On events when I need to be dressy, my oversized watch always brings that edgy touch to my look. Most of my oversized watches are bulky and heavy, which I guess make me fall in love with them even more. But of course, there are times I need to go for a sleeker look. TW Steel, known for their oversized watch, raises the bar by creating a new concept. Now, there’s no need to choose between a slim or an oversized watch. TW Steel Slim Collection can give you the best of both worlds! 😀
Recently, TW Steel Slim Collection was launched here in the Philippines. Issa Litton hosted the event at Black Sheep, where we enjoyed a unique set menu.
When I say “unique”, I really meant it. One must be somehow adventurous to try their food. Hehe! Everyone in our table waited for one of us to try whenever a new dish was served. LOL! To know what I’m talking about, check them out…
Chicken-N-Egg: beer glaze, cointreau foam, salmon roe
36-Hour Pork & Free Range Chicken: lemongrass, pickled radish, charred leeks
Cigar: don urquijo, singleton
Surprisingly, they’re really good. Well, I’m just not a big fan of the Cigar dessert, which will probably be most appreciated by smokers. 😉
Anyway, let’s go back to the TW Steel Slim Collection. The Slim Line range is comprised of 10 executions, available only in 45mm dimension, with either steel or A-grade PVD rose gold plated cases. All models utilize a Miyota 1S13 slim movement housed in a case which features a shine finish, adding an additional visual appeal to these sleek and slender pieces.
The TW1300 to TW1305 models sport a stylish turn edge leather croco-print strap, with the familiar two dots amended in position and size slightly in keeping with the slender design.
The TW1306 and TW 1307, on the other hand, feature steel bracelets while TW1308 and TW1309 are presented with steel bracelets resplendent in A-grade PVD rose gold plating.
All models in the Slim Line Collection are embellished with sapphire crystals, while additional highlights of the new range include the use of sunray dials, with matching hands and numbers, all with a shine finish in keeping with the cases. Championing both form and function, each model is also 5 ATM water resistant.
TW Steel Slim Collection starts at PHP 18,000.
During the launch, they also introduced the TW Steel Slim Collection ambassadors- Nico Bolzico, James Younghusband, and Sebastian Ripoll. In line with the collection’s #WhyNotBoth campaign, they are three personalities in the social scene who have successfully balanced a multifaceted life.
Nico Bolzico, a successful and well-traveled economist, also doubles as a polo aficionado when he’s not dressed in his bespoke suits. Sebastian Ripoll, an accomplished strength and conditioning coach, also works as a producer for a documentary series with ABS-CBN called Team U. James Younghusband, on the other hand, is a celebrated football player and right midfielder for the Philippine Azkals, and also spearheads the Younghusband Football Academy.
Bolzico, Younghusband, and Ripoll lead very vibrant lives, and are each committed to not only living out their dreams, but also making sure that they share that with others as well. They embody the qualities that the Slim Line Collection espouses —that there is no either or, but simply, a delicate balancing act. Are there any signs of them slowing down? Slim chance.
Here I am with the brand ambassadors… 😀
