As promised in my initial #SmartMasskara post HERE, I’m sharing my Bacolod Masskara Festival experience. I’ll have to divide it into two posts though because so many things happened in our four days in Bacolod. It was my first time in this beautiful city, so just imagine how excited I was weeks before our flight. Best of all, I couldn’t wait to be at the much-talked about Masskara Festival with my Smart family. My first ever festival was the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo and it was epic! It was such an unforgettable experience and I honestly didn’t expect it would be that fun. Well, the credit goes to my Smart family since they gave me the best festival experience! 😀 😀 😀 After Dinagyang Festival, I promised myself to attend more festivals around the country- and Masskara was definitely part of my list! 😀

Day 1: Bacolod Masskara Festival #SmartMasskara

First order of business right after dropping off our bags at our hotel was to eat the Bacolod Chicken Inasal! Although we have it here in Manila, of course, nothing compares to the original inasal!

Manokan Country (near SM) is the place to go if you want Chicken Inasal. There are various restaurants all serving Chicken Inasal. As suggested by our driver, Nene’s Beth should be the best. 😉

And our smiles show how our tummies enjoyed the dinner… Haha! 😀

We then headed to our first party- Love Dance at the Central Football Field. We played games and partied the night away! 😀

Day 2: Bacolod Masskara Festival #SmartMasskara

We started our day with a seafood feast at 18th St. Palapala Seafood Grill & Restaurant.

When in Bacolod, expect some serious food trip! Everything’s just sooo good! Ugh! So, please forget about diet when you’re in this city!!! 😀

Of course, a trip to Bacolod won’t be complete without a visit to their most-wanted dessert place, Calea. This is indeed the gateway to sweet haven!!! 😀

Then, we went to The Ruins, a famous tourist spot in the city of Talisay. Obviously, it’s a perfect #OOTD spot! More photos and quick background about this beauty in this post: The Ruins Bacolod.

After a quick rest and having dinner, it was time to visit Smart Zone along Lacson St. I wasn’t sure what a street party looked like until I walked down this stretch. It was packed with people ready to party- or should I say, partying! The festive vibe and mainstream music made everyone dance and sing while walking. So, this is the Masskara weekend everyone’s talking about and I loved it! 😀

Well, the fun was just about to start for us. We dropped by Smart Zone where there were a lot of fun activities and exciting prizes.

One of them is to post a selfie at any Smart event in Bacolod for a chance to win a smartphone. Lookie at Verniece and I… Haha! 😀

So, here I am with my roomie, Alyssa, goofing around Smart Zone. 😉
