While I was going through the photos for this #OOTD, I can’t help but contemplate. Why am I still doing this? After 8 years in the blogging industry, why am I still here? There are so many newbies out there and where do I stand among them? There are so many questions bugging me for the past few months. Until I saw this photo.

I don’t know why, but I instantly thought of the title “Soar high and #OwnIt”. Is it a sign?! Probably, it is! This is just a perfect reminder to all of us that in everything we do – whether it be in school, at work, in our own passions and crafts – nothing is impossible! Never ever lose hope, despite a few dips here and there, and just follow our dreams. Soar High and #OwnIt!

As if the photo and my realizations aren’t enough, I was struck while I was watching the videos of the Smart Launchpad (a talent search and content creation program that encourages the youth to showcase what they do best–whether it’s singing or dancing, doing make-up tutorials, sharing travel tips and more) winners last night. No kidding! I was especially moved by the rap of Lesha Litonua, one of the winners, when she said:

Stop waiting for signs and show what you got
Be yourself, take a breath, even just for a bit
Strive hard, pray hard
Strive hard, pray hard
And remember to #OwnIt

God works in mysterious ways indeed! It was a wake up call! The winners of the Smart Launchpad got to own their passions and show their talents to the world.

You can watch the winning video entries here:

· Mary Joy Labenia: https://youtu.be/MZM8gDQVrEA

· Tops Unay: https://youtu.be/B1Wz5XVQfcI

I couldn’t stop laughing when I watched the entries of Mary Joy Labenia and Tops Unay. They can really send you good vibes! Can I just say, Tops killed that makeup tutorial! LOL!

The winners were chosen after a three-day event at First Pacific Leadership Academy, Antipolo City. Here’s a short video on what happened in the workshop: https://youtu.be/Ysp0IEcayC8 Looks like everyone had fun! And as part of their prize to the competition, which is the first of its kind in the Philippines, they will be going to Los Angeles to collaborate with international star and YouTube creator, The Filharmonic. WOW!

Now, back to my OOTD. Since denim dresses are back, got myself one when I visited Poshmark Studio (you can read more about this boutique in my PREVIOUS POST). It’s perfect for lazy days. Just slip it on and done! It’s comfy, easy, casual, yet looks like “you’re going somewhere” and not just a tank-shorts combo. You get what I mean? Hehe!

I like wearing caps these days. It’s great for bad hair days. Instead of tying the hair, which can cause damage to your hair, try wearing a cap! It’s stylish, at the same time, protects the hair from the sun’s harmful rays.
