To be honest, I was surprised when I was contacted to be part of Nuffnang’s featured blogger. I can’t believe it myself!!! Thank you to all your support and most especially, to my Nuffnang family! I feel so honored!

I can’t believe 2011 is about to end. Looking back, I have sooo many things to be thankful for. It was actually a great year for me that I wish it didn’t have to end just yet.

It was this year when I finally pursued my makeup career. Now, I can’t believe I’m doing makeup to clients and I have my own train case full of makeup already. Oh, the feeling of fulfillment…

My feet also brought me to a lot of places this year. It’s only now I realized that I flew in and out of the country almost every month for 2011, most of it for family vacation. I love the fact that I was able to put new check marks on my must-go list. Being able to explore something new is always a bliss. But for my most memorable trip this year? Japan would have to be number 1 because of my earthquake/ tsunami experience. My Euro trip comes second. It has always been my dream to visit Spain. Finally, I was able to make a way to pass by Madrid and Barcelona in this trip. And of course, I can never forget my first travel with the bloggers to Malaysia. To attend a bloggers event out of the country is indeed a dream come true (again, thank you to my Nuffnang family). Having to meet bloggers that I just used to see online and gaining true friendships through that trip made those 4 days truly memorable. My travel urges were definitely satisfied for 2011!

It was also this year when I got several projects abroad- something really unexpected. Never ever have I imagined to be in this industry. It’s something I never tried and something I don’t really like ever since. I only tried once as a favor to my friend. It was indeed surprising that I got the part. I enjoyed doing that first project last year, but I never thought I would be showered with more this year. Added to the perks are my free travels that’s more than enough to satisfy the travel junkie in me. Honestly, I’m so overwhelmed that I can’t thank the Lord enough!

I’ve also gained a lot of friends through my trips and through blogging! All the people I met through out the year made my 2011 a really memorable one.

It was also a healthy year for my family and friends. Literally, healthy- no illnesses, which I thank the Lord so much!

And of course, I want to express my warmest thanks to all of you who have been so patient reading my blog. LOL! Happy is an understatement to describe how I feel when someone sends me a message or approaches me that she has been reading my blog. I hope I’ve touched your lives in my own little way. Thank you so much!

2011 is definitely my year and I’m owning it! Haha! But, all these great things wouldn’t be possible without the people around me- family, friends, and all of you guys, and of course, God. THANK YOU! As much as I don’t want to end the year, I’ll have to be ready with 2012. So, bring it on!

Cheers to 2011! Cheers for a great year ahead!

This is the awards night and I’ll be seeing a lot of new people today. Now, I have my dress dilemma which I have to solve in an hour! Why?! Back then, blogging was not as popular as it is today. Blogs are now seen as a major avenue of media that represent and influence society. Even LushAngel was totally different compared to what it is now. What started as a personal journal has now evolved into a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog. Along the way, I have met several people and communities that helped me grow my site. One of them that have greatly helped me and thousands of other bloggers as well is Nuffnang. More than anything, gaining new friends who share the same interests as mine is priceless. Lastly, I would want to acknowledge and give support to my fellow bloggers who worked hard in making their blog stand out from the rest. Personally, I know how hard it is to maintain a blog. A lot of sacrifices have to be made. Maybe I can also learn from them and improve my own blog. Hopefully, I can make LushAngel an awardee too in the future. See my photo above laughing??? There’s never a dull moment with this girl! Haha! I met Michelle, together with the rest of the beauty bloggers, just a few months ago. It’s amazing how I got along with them in an instant. Well, obviously we all love beautiful things that’s why time really flies chit-chatting with these girls. We just can’t stop talking about beauty stuff. It feels good when you’re surrounded with people who have the same passion as you are. You can see some of them in my Obagi dinner post.

Anyway, I’ll keep this short and sweet. I just want to thank my family, friends and readers for making the past year worth remembering. It was definitely a great and fun year for me. I met sweet and adorable friends from the blogging world. My years of pondering has now turned into a reality by taking the plunge to study makeup artistry. Now, it’s for real and I have to get used to being called a makeup artist already! Yay! I’m so thankful for the support of my family and friends. There’s so many things to be thankful for! Above all, I thank the Lord for the breath of life and giving me the oppotunity to take part and experience His creations.

Anyway, gotta keep going! It will be one exciting day for me!

Okay, to be honest, I grew up believing I don’t really have any talent. When somebody asks me, “What’s your talent?”, my answer would always be, “None”. I know I’m not alone with my thinking that talent should be grand. It should be something that everybody would say “wow”. It should be worth announcing to the whole world. It’s usually related to singing, dancing, or those that we see on television. If that’s the case, I really don’t have one. Let me sing and the rain would start falling! LOL!

That’s how I used to understand the word “talent”. But now, I’m proud to say, I have a talent! All of us definitely star at doing something, no matter how irrelevant you think it is. There’s no talent too small. So now you’re probably wondering what kind of talent I have… Hmmm… Now, I’ve decided to reveal my little secret. What is it?

Well, I’m sure I’m not alone with this kind of talent, but I’m still proud of it. But hey, it’s actually dangerous so I really don’t suggest doing it. I just developed this skill (if you can call it a “skill”) overtime. Okay, now you’re intrigued! LOL! Here it is… I star at doing my make-up while driving. You see, I’m always late- something bad and something I should definitely change! And because I’m always in a hurry, I do my make-up inside the car 98% of the time. The thing is, I’m not the passenger all the time, especially when I used to go to the office. Since I’m always running late, I pump my liquid foundation at the back of my left hand and hold a brush on my right hand. I spread the foundation all over my face, while I drive. And yes, even when it’s not traffic, I can do it. Now you know how much I love make-up. I even do it while I drive! Haha! Bad I know, so please please don’t try it. That’s just probably how passionate I am when it comes to make-up. Haha!

Oh by the way, I think this talent of mine runs in the blood. My sister can actually apply on lipstick without a mirror in front of her. Haha!

After years of pondering, I’ve finally decided to do something with my love for make-up. It’s about time I move forward and do what I really love to do. For those who have been reading my blog for quite some time now, you guys probably have an idea what I’m talking about. I believe I mentioned about it a couple of times. Now, I’ve reached to a point wherein I have to do something with my passion- and that is to study professional make up. One of the many things I’ve been wanting to do is to become a professional make-up artist. I’ve been shying away to that idea because of the money I have to invest with all the make-ups and trainings/ courses I’ve been wanting to attend to further enhance my skills. I thought my love for make-up artistry would die down in time. Well, apparently not. As time goes by, my passion for it just keeps on growing. I just have to do something about it. And the day has come. Today is my first day in school at MAKE UP FOR EVER!!! This is it! Wish me luck everyone!

Oh and for those who left me a message on how am I doing here in Tokyo, thank you so much for the concern. Here I am, still alive and kickin’! LOL! Kidding aside, that was one hell of an experience! Tokyo may be far from Sendai, but we also felt that very strong earthquake. I’ll post about my experience once I get back to Manila. For the meantime, please continue to pray for all those who were badly affected by the quake.
