In the corporate environment, which I am part of, most companies usually allow dress-down Fridays. This means, we can do away with our corporate clothes. It’s actually one of my fave days of the week (aside from weekends… Bwahahaha). Since I can wear anything casual, I feel more relaxed at work. No matter how my Fridays can be so busy, it still feels lighter than any other work days. Wearing corporate outfits, on the other hand, seem to be more uptight, which forces me to be more focused on work. This perfectly shows that the clothes you wear can definitely affect your mood.
Imagine your favorite designer collaborating with one of your fave car makers. Wouldn’t that make an ultimate dream ride? Well, our one and only Karl Lagerfeld invaded the so-called men’s world and made it uber fashionable!
Yay! Finally, I’ve been to Macau! This vacation wouldn’t be complete without our side trip to Macau. Eeeek… I sooo love it! So it’s true, it definitely is like Las Vegas! Hotels, plus their shows, it’s so like Vegas! Everything is just so nice and the mood is way more relaxing than the fast life in Hong Kong. What made us more excited is- Macau is currently on sale! Everything in Nine West is 50% off! Prada and Burberry also have sale items. As for Chanel, sorry but no sale… Hehehe!
Anyway, I got the chance to ask for the prices of some of the classic Chanel bags at the Chanel boutique in Wynn Hotel. Check out the prices in MOP by clicking on “Read the rest of this entry” below.
Of course, my Hong Kong vacation would never be complete without a visit to a Chanel boutique. Hehehe! I super, super love the Chanel boutique in Harbor City! Or let me just say, I love Harbor City! I thought I would need a stretcher while walking down that street. I wanna faint! LOL! Check out the pictures below.
Finally! One of my must-have bags on my list is now mine! I’ve waited for this for such a looong time so just imagine the joy I’m feeling right now! Hehehe! Well, for those who don’t know, there isn’t any Chanel boutique here in Manila so just imagine my craving for Chanel bags. Hehehe! Of course, there are people who also sell Chanel bags here, both brand new and preowned, but most of them just price the brand new bags unfairly! Well, a lot of them sell flap bags and when I say a lot, they are REALLY a lot. It’s just that most of them sell medium flap bags in lambskin, which is a no-no for me. Hmmm… Not really a no-no. In fact, I find lambskin very, very nice and elegant. I simply can’t afford to have a high maintenance bag. Lambskin needs a lot of care as it gets scratched right away. I personally think lambskin is not for everyday use and is not for me too. Hehehe! I can be too clumsy at times so my only choice is to get my dream medium flap bag in caviar elsewhere. And where is the cheapest? Europe it is! This is the reason why I waited for such a looong time. When I knew that my family and I were going back to Europe, I controlled myself and waited to purchase my Chanel 2.55 Medium Classic Flap bag in black Caviar (or some also call it large classic flap bag). You know, every cent counts as I worked hard for it. Uh-huh, for those making a big fuzz out of my purchases, let me repeat that… Yeeesss, it is my own moolah and not my parents’, okay?! So just congratulate me as I am mature enough to handle my bagaholic needs. Ehem… Anyways, meet my new baby below…
Previously, I have posted the prices of the Chanel classic flap bags in Europe just to give you an idea on how much more you need to save to get the flap bag of your dreams. Well, if you have become a bagaholic, like me and Fashion Juice, then most probably you want to get hold of the other classic bags of Chanel. Hehehe! I was actually considering the Medallion or the Grand Shopping Tote for my second bag purchase in my recent trip, but when I finally decided to get the beige GST, it was gone. Argh! I still can’t get over it! Well, at least I was able to ask for their prices and be ready with my moolah when I get back (?) Hahaha! Anyways, here is a list of some of the classic Chanel bags with their prices in Euro.
For those of you who plan to go to Europe and get that classic Chanel flap bag of your dreams, you might wanna know how much moolah you need to set aside to buy one. Just like me, before I went on vacation, I looked for the latest prices of Chanel bags all over the internet; but due to several price increases that happened in the past year, I ended up not knowing the latest prices of the classic bags. Hehehe! I was confused which prices are updated and which are not. Oh, how we wish Chanel would finally include the prices of their bags in their website! Well anyway, I just thought that whatever the price may be, buying in Europe would still be cheaper than buying in Manila or in the U.S. Plus, remember that foreigners get tax refund! True enough, Chanel bags are cheaper in Europe but it’s not a big difference when it comes to flap bags just like what I have expected. Anyway, to share with you the latest prices, below are some of the classic Chanel flap bags in Euros. I have personally asked these prices in their boutique in Vienna, Austria last April 4, 2009. Prices may have changed without prior notice. The SA told me that prices in Chanel boutiques are the same across Europe. If there are variations, differences may not be too biggie. Prices indicated here are just to give you an idea how much your dream bag would now cost you. Oh, and these prices are tax inclusive. In Vienna, tax is around 13% so if you are a tourist, you can refund the tax in the airport before you leave.
In CAVIAR: Small Classic Flap Bag: € 1,630 Medium/ Large Classic Flap Bag: € 1,710 Jumbo Classic Flap Bag: € 1,870
In LAMBSKIN: Small Classic Flap Bag: € 1,790 Medium/ Large Classic Flap Bag: € 1,870 Jumbo Classic Flap Bag: € 2,030
Uh-huh, a certified shopaholic like Rebecca Bloomwood! In fact, I can’t think of a SINGLE moment or experience to show how shopaholic I am. Why?! Because I was born a shopaholic! Okay, okay not exactly since I was a baby. Obviously, I can’t talk and walk then; but when I started to talk and point on things, oh geesh… my parents probably wished I were a baby again. Hahaha! The words coming out of my mouth were always “I want this!”, “I want that!”, “Buy me this!”, or “Buy me that!” I’m not exaggerating! Okay, probably I grew up to be a spoiled brat. At least I’m honest. My wants just never ends! In fact, when I was in grade school, my mom and my aunt would call me “Bilmoko”. Shortcut for “bili mo ako” (in English- “Buy me…”). Oh and guess what?! Since I was a kid, I was trained well to shop all day. That’s what you call real “talent”! LOL! Imagine, my mom and I would go to the mall every single weekend. We would arrive just before lunch and stay up until closing time. You can literally say, we shop ‘til we drop! So now you guys probably understand why I can’t share a single moment ‘coz there are just so many moments! LOL! :-) Well, of course, there is more to this. This is just my childhood days.
When I was in high school, my mom thought I’m responsible enough to get a credit card. Yeah, baby… a supplementary credit card! No need to bring cash! Since I also started going out with my friends, my mom thought I really need to have one for emergency use. Oh, but there were just so many emergencies… the first release of Havaianas flip flops here in Manila, the last stock of a stunning dress, the last size of the red shoes I have been eyeing for so long, the gorgeous bag that went on sale, etc., etc., etc. As a result, whenever the credit card bill was delivered to our house, I literally get nervous! Thank God my parents love me so and they never ranted about my shopping sprees! Uh-huh, again I know and I admit- such a spoiled brat! LOL!
Now that I’m working and earning my own moolah, you think things have changed?! Nah-dah! Of course, I still have my supplementary credit cards and for some reason, my primary credit card bills are also being taken cared of by my parents. Hehehe! Oh, I know I’m horrible, but what can I do I just can’t live without shopping! Well, you might wonder what I do with the money I earn. Well, most of them are allotted for my craziness with designer bags and some gadgets. Okay, I have this ONE moment to share… When I went to the States last year, I ended up taking home 2 bags of Louis Vuitton. What was I thinking then?! I really go ga-ga over bags. In fact, before the year ended, I asked my good friend, Fashion Juice, to buy me my Chanel PST even if I haven’t seen it personally! But my sickness doesn’t stop here. The year just started and I seemed to have spent thousand and thousand of pesos already. I started my year with gadgets. First, a new mobile phone (as seen here). Then 2 weeks after, I bought a new DSLR. And I have yet to buy bags…hopefully, this summer. Plus, a new laptop… Oh, and I haven’t included here my almost weekly shopping for clothes, shoes, accessories, etc., etc., etc. I’m sorry but the list just goes on and on. I could actually write a book just by listing what I plan to buy this year. Pardon me, I know I said earlier that I’m only going to share ONE moment. Well, this is exactly the problem I was trying to tell you earlier. There can never be ONE because my entire life is mostly about my being a shopaholic! I’m totally intoxicated with shopping! Whenever I’m sad, shopping can make me happy. Whenever I’m in pain, shopping can heal me. Whenever I feel tired, shopping is my stress reliever. For some this may sound awful but SHOPPING is really my short-term solution to everything. Retail therapy can do wonders for me!
I am totally a certified shopaholic like Rebecca Bloomwood (but yes, minus the debt, thanks to my parents)! This is why I can’t wait to see my favorite chic flick of the year! So for those here in Manila, join me catch “Confessions of a Shopaholic” in Cinemas on February 18, 2009!
Silver hardware or gold hardware? That is the question! A question that every Chanel shopper faces before purchasing those luscious bags… Since I am Lush Angel, I want to live up with my name by being an angel to those who are confused whether to buy the silver or the gold hardware. A confusion that I, myself, went through. So what made me decide?
I know I’ve been posting about bags, bags, and more bags these past few days. Well, this is a life of a bagaholic. It is part of living lush-ciously (of course, I only speak for myself). Anyways, this is actually a delayed post. I know I promised (as seen in this post) to present my new baby as soon as I get hold of it. I’m kinda busy these days which is why I wasn’t able to take a picture of it right away. Below are some pictures though when I went out with my friends last Saturday.
