My first bag for 2011 came a bit early. I usually buy when I travel with my family around March or April. And since it’s pretty expensive to buy designer bags in our planned trips this year, I thought of asking a friend from London to get me this bag I’ve been meaning to buy for the longest time. I already thought of getting this when I was there last 2009. My real targets at that time were Balenciaga Giant City and Chanel Grand Shopping Tote. Since Chanel GST was out of stock everywhere in London while I was there, I thought of bringing home this bag, which is in my must-have list too. But for some reason, I wasn’t bound to bring home 2 bags that time as the color I wanted wasn’t available. I think it was in my horoscope that I can only buy a Balenciaga. LOL! Well, looks like the year of the rabbit is starting good for me. Horoscope says, I can now own one again! Haha!

I prefer buying abroad since I can’t quite justify the price of designer labels here in Manila, especially the bags. Too much mark up, don’t you think?! Anyway, enough of the talkies! It’s a St. Louis PM in yellow!

Goyard increased their prices early this year. Last quarter of 2010, I thought of getting this bag already and it was still priced at GBP 480! And because I had second thoughts again, I now had to pay GBP 580! Ugh! Well, I don’t want to dwell on my GBP 60 loss anymore. It’s done and what’s more important is she’s finally mine! LOL!

Finally, a bright colored bag for me! Enough of the classic colors this time. Though the black and the navy blue are nice colors, I had to control myself from buying them. I’ve always wanted something new in my small collection. I have too many black and brown bags already since I really prefer to go for the classic colors when it comes to designer bags. Since Goyard’s St. Louis is more for casual get-ups, why not try something fun and colorful this time?! And my first choice? YELLOW! Goyard’s shade of yellow is just impossible to resist. It can definitely be a pop of color in any plain outfit. I love it!!!  A new bag for the new year can hopefully bring me loads of luck for the entire year! Hehe!

Errr… Imagine, a Goyard laptop sleeve! This was featured last December 2008 in Vogue and boy, it is definitely lush-cious! But would you still wanna dig in to this Goyard laptop bag if I say that this costs $830 each?! Oh my, this would definitely just live and die in my dreams! As much as I love it, I’d rather buy a Goyard Saint Louis. Well, of course if I sleep in a bed of moolah, then that would be a different story. I could probably afford to get a premier designer laptop case then. But for now, I will certainly wait for the 13-inch MacBook Pro hard case to be available instead. LOL!

Anyway, one of the most famous bags of Goyard is the Saint Louis. It’s a shopping tote that comes in three sizes- the junior, PM and GM. I find the PM the perfect size for this style and if I’m not mistaken, my fellow bag hag, Fashion Juice, is eyeing for a Saint Louis in PM too. Well, who wouldn’t love Goyard Saint Louis?! With the various chic colors available, every bag hag surely considers this purse an eye candy. As for me though, I have yet to decide whether I would make the Goyard Saint Louis part of my collection. I’m still hunting for a shopping tote with zipper. And as of now, my mind is clouded with the letters G-S-T! LOL! I’m currently prioritizing my Chanel GST purchase (which hopefully would come soon).

Well, for those who are here in Asia, the usual place to go to in terms of designer labels is Hong Kong. Now, if you are bound to visit the country or simply intrigued on the prices of Saint Louis Goyard over there, the good news is I was able to inquire about them. I went to their boutique at Peninsula Arcade in Kowloon, Hong Kong. (See what sight seeing means to me?! LOL!) The thing is, the SA told me that the Goyard Saint Louis comes in two sizes only- the medium and the large (I am assuming she is pertaining to the PM and the GM, respectively). Hmmm… I’m thinking she got confused or the boutique in Hong Kong only sells two sizes??? Well, whatever it is, the Goyard Saint Louis PM is priced at HKD 7,100, while the GM is priced at HKD 8,490. Prices may or may not have changed. These prices are as of June 15, 2009.

Oh, by the way, if you’re going to the Hong Kong boutique any time soon to buy a Saint Louis, I’m sorry to say but they don’t have any available stocks!!! Yah, their Saint Louis were wiped out when I inquired last June 15 and the SA said, stocks will  probably arrive around August. (Hmmm… Just in time for my come back in Hong Kong… LOL!)
