I was not one of those who lined up for hours during the opening. I don’t have the patience. Hehe! I visited the store days after the opening and I didn’t expect that I’d still be able to bring home several plastic bags from Forever 21. Apparently, they bring out new stocks every now and then. I had to control myself from getting clothes here and there because I was off to Bangkok the week after. When I got back from my trip, I was too excited to feature the clothes from our latest K.A.T. Collection that I completely forgot about wearing the stuff I bought from Forever 21. Eeeek! Sorry, it took me forever to share! Hehe!

Anyway, here’s one outfit I got from Forever 21, which I finally was able to wear when I went to Thunderbird Resorts. The horizontal stripes top and blue shorts combination brings a nautical vibe to my outfit.

Since it was a nice sunny day, I also decided to throw a little bit of bright color in to my outfit- a hot pink tank top and a floral headband.

Geesh! It suddenly dawned upon me that I just got my Chanel 2.55 Medium Flap Bag last year, as seen in this post. Guess what?! I got it for only €1,710 in Austria. Well, I even felt bad ‘coz they just had a price increase then. But look at the price now! Whew! It’s now €2,460!!! That’s €750 increase already in just a year! Don’t you think that’s too much?!

Sorry, I only have 2 photos wearing my romper in the resort since we were dead tired when we got there. That’s what we get for not sleeping the night before! LOL!

It’s one of the easiest outfit to wear in my closet! It’s like a dress- No need to think of the top-bottom pairing!

I loosely wrapped a belt around my waist to break the print since I’m not really fond of one-piece printed clothing. Well, I still do wear them, but I have to wear a belt to break the monotonous thing going on in my outfit. It’s just me. Some people don’t mind as it really helps in making you look taller.

Oh, it’s not quite obvious in the pictures, but I also wore a headband. Actually, make that headband(s). They are 2 separate braided headbands- one in gold and the other in bronze.

And since it was raining that night, I also wore a denim vest so as not to look too bare.

Ladies and gents, mark your calendars now! On September 13, Gossip Girl Season 4 will be starting. I’m sooo excited! Why?! Well, aside from drooling on the fashionable clothes and accessories of the girls, the setting will surely leave me breathless. LOL! It is in Paris! Oh my gawd! It’s calling me!!!! It really is very imformative. I remember featuring it here in my blog when the book came out. Since then, I’ve been seeing it in bookstores and I’ve been reading it there whenever I needed to kill time. Hehehe! And now that I’m loving makeups too much and I’ve been buying and experimenting on them, I thought I needed to get Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual for myself.

I love how she explained in detail the use of each makeup and brush type. She also gave tips on how to apply each makeup product for every skin type. It is that detailed that she’s like a personal instructor explaining to you the proper way to use concealer, foundation, blush, etc. Some books or videos teaches us the basics, but we have to keep in mind that different skin types and skin colors also vary in techniques when applying each product. Bobbi Brown touched this in her book. She would help you identify your skin type and color. Then, for every makeup product, like concealer, foundation, etc, she would suggest the kind of product (liquid, cream, powder, etc.) to be used for every skin type (oily, dry, combination) in order for the makeup to last. She also recommended shades that would blend and work well for every skin color. The book is picture heavy as well to make it easier for the readers to understand her step-by-step instructions. It literally is a makeup manual, something that makeup enthusiasts have always wanted. Hehehe! So for those starting to appreciate and love the art of makeup, grab a copy now in the nearest bookstore. It’s just quite hard to get one as it’s always out of stock here in Manila (I’m just not sure in the other parts of the world)! Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual is now being sold at Amazon for $21.12, but I tell you, every penny is woth it for those who want to learn the basics. In fact, as the book says, Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual is for everyone from beginner to pro.

Yes, I am officially a year older but who cares I still look a year younger! LOL! (Feeling! Well, wishing it is ture.. Haha!) I really didn’t prepare for my birthday this year. I actually never thought of what I was going to wear on my special day until the very last minute. Cramming, as always! I even spent time blogging rather than imagining what my birthday outfit would be for my dinner with my family. LOL! So what was the outcome of my last minute cramming? Here it is…

Wait a minute! Before I reveal what I was wearing for our dinner, I know all of you are already wondering what was so special with my birthday this year. It was not the outfit I wore, or the restaurant where we ate for dinner, and not even a gift I received that made it special. It is this post that made it so so special. …her face! Eeeek! I’m so shy right now! I’m currently blushing as I type this. LOL! No more happy face for this post. I promise. Hehe! On what made me finally decide to reveal my face, don’t ask! Hehehe!  If you are wondering if I’ll be showing my face on all my future posts, I am still undecided. Let’s see… Hehehe! But do expect a lot of changes to be happening with my blog in the coming weeks.

I thought of using my Eiffel Tower necklace again here. It has become my fave these days. (But what would make my birthday really special is if someone gives me a roundtrip ticket to Paris and see the Eiffel tower again! LOL! )

I also wore some bronze and wooden bangles from H&M and a leopard print cuff on the other hand just to punch up the over-all look a little more.

Oh, and I actually forgot to put on my earrings so I ended up wearing my ever reliable black and white tie as a headband since I felt so empty and plain. Well, I think it still blended with my entire outfit anyway since I used my black Chanel purse in gold hardware and my black caged shoes. It’s still in my black-gray-bronze/gold theme.

Since it’s my birthday, I decided to paint my nails red. Again, I need to follow the Chinese tradition of wearing red on birthday celebrations. And since I haven’t really thought of what to wear today, at least I have something red if I decide to go against the tradition- my lovely nails! LOL! The thing is I’m tired of the plain red nail polish so I decided to do this…

I added those shining shimmering tips! Hehehe!

Instead of the conventional white tips of the French Manicure, I thought of using a silver shiny nail polish. Well, I just wanna break away from tradition. Uh… so I guess I’m not wearing red today, eh?! LOL! My mom won’t get mad (I think) since it’s my birthday! Haha! And knowing her, I just have to be fashionable and she would say nothing about wearing red on birthdays. She would even compliment me! I tried that last year, if you have read that post. LOL! Anyway, gotta go! I just had to share my nails! Hahaha!

It was one really hot sunday afternoon! Since I wasn’t really going anywhere but stroll inside the mall across my house, I just opted to be plain and simple that day. There’s nothing really fancy with what im wearing here. It’s one of those days I feel like staying in bed all day. Hehehe! And since I’m wearing a plain top and bottom, I thought I needed to accessorize…

Oh, and I’m actually wearing a bermuda shorts that I’ve had several years back. I just folded it twice to make it a bit shorter.

Oh, and don’t you just love scarves?! It’s such a versatile accessory. Of course depending on the size and cloth used, you can opt to wear it as a headband or a head wrap; or if it’s a bit chilly, you can tie or wrap it around your neck; or just simply drape it around your neck to transform your simple outfit to something more interesting.
