Now, my next question, do you choose your undergarments on size alone? I’d be honest, I used to. I thought that as long as it’s my size, it would perfectly fit me. Well of course, the style and material also matter, depending on my outfit. Never did I buy my undergarments based on the actual needs of my body shape though. These informative facts from our friends from Wacoal opened my eyes. Let’s all hope we’re still at Stage 0. LOL!

• Stage 0- Women in this stage should choose brassiere that emphasizes the shape of their breasts, waist and hips. Do not wear bras that are too tight nor too loose. It should fit perfectly to help preserve the body shape.

• Stage 1- Women in this stage should choose brassiere that will provide lift and support; such as bras with underwire, pads, and side panels with reinforced fabric or resin bone.

• Stage 2 & 3- In addition to bras with underwire, pads, and side panels with reinforced fabric or resin bone, women in this stage should also choose brassieres with wider straps and side panels. These provide support not only for the breasts, but also for the shoulders and the back.

• Similar to brassiere, the functional bottom should be chosen to match the changes of an aging body. Even if the size doesn’t change, because of the changes in shape and softness with aging, the fitting of the functional bottom will be different. Something that fits your body not only fits beautifully, but is also comfortable and isn’t painful.

• Choose the functional bottom that fits your daily use. Measure and know your correct size. Check your silhouette, comfort and ease of movement by trying it on and stretching lightly. Practice wearing it correctly everyday after purchasing.

• Certain functional bottoms can support everyday walking (walking using good posture and long quick strides) and help in toning the leg and hip muscles. Consult with a specialized adviser for choosing one from all those that fit you perfectly.

Therefore, in a gist, a brassiere made for a body shape at Stage 0 shouldn’t be worn by a woman with a Stage 3 body shape. You may have the correct size of undergarments, but the style/ kind might not be, giving you bulges at the wrong places. You have to wear the right undergarments in order to be body beautiful at any age. Not only will your clothes look good on you, but also, you can delay body ageing with undergarments that perfectly fit your body shape.

Okay, let me get this straight. I’m no expert in running (obviously). To be honest, my last one was when I was in college and it was part of my P.E. class. Last Monday was my first run after several years. Haha! Good luck to me! And since I was supposed to just try it out, I didn’t had any intentions of getting a running shoes. I was thinking of using my old Adidas rubber shoes, which I bought when I went around Canada for a tour. I think I just used it twice, but yeah, it wasn’t made for running at all. It’s not even a cross-training rubber shoes. I remember back then when I bought that pair, I was so concerned on how it would fit my jeans. I hate it when the jeans crumple at the ends just because of the shoes. Now obviously, that shoes is just good for a casual get-up. Haha! But what the heck?! I thought of using it still because at that time, I didn’t had any intentions of doing this on a regular basis.

Fast forward to the Bonifacio High Street parking lot… I changed to my “self-declared” jogging outfit (self-declared ‘coz they said I don’t look like I’m going to jog). Then, I realized there’s something missing. I’m such a smart girl… I left my freaking “self-declared” running shoes! Damn! And so there I was searching for a cheap running shoes at Runnr in High Street… But duh, never ever did I see cheap rubber shoes in that store! I was probably hoping they would have sale items, but unfortunately, nah-dah! Still, I went out of the store with this…

Uh-huh, I really did bought one already. On that same night, I tried breaking this in…

It’s Adidas Adizero Boston in red! Yes, even in my running shoes, I don’t want it plain. LOL! White is too common for me. I want to run in style. Haha! It can be my motivation to run, you know! In fact, because I bought this freakin’ shoes, I just got home from jogging as I write this! Yes, because of this shoes, I will attend our running meet regularly. Regularly means at least twice a week! I don’t want to put my PHP 5, 295 to waste! I find it expensive, but since I don’t have any running shoes, might as well invest for it. Running is good for the health anyway. It would be more expensive to get sick. Oh dear, am I just reasoning out to defend by impulsive spending?! Haha! But I swear, you get what you pay for. Some even pay more than PHP 7,000 for a pair of really comfy running shoes. Well probably in my case, I’m still trying to understand its price tag ‘coz I could get a really nice pair of heels for just PHP 2,000. LOL! Anyway, here are more photos…

I may not be an expert in rubber shoes or in running, but I just thought of sharing here my choice of running shoes to help those who are thinking of getting a new pair. More than the color, what I love about Adizero Boston is its perfect fit. It’s very comfortable that I was able to jog 3 laps around High Street. Ummm… Okay, of course I also did some brisk walking. I still can’t run one entire lap without resting. Hello, it was my first time to run after several years!!! I’m actually giving myself credit that I was able to last that long. Imagine, 1 lap in High Street is 1.2 km! Oooh, that’s far eh?! I’ll get the hang of it eventually (I hope).

So if you are trying to be health conscious already and wants to get a new pair of running shoes, I personally recommend Adizero Boston of Adidas. For me, getting a real running shoes is a must if you want to make running your regular exercise. It’s worth the investment. Using casual or any other rubber shoes which isn’t made for running can hurt your feet after several minutes of running, or worse, it can even cause you injuries. Rubber shoes made for running is made up of a different sole, as seen below.

It may look similar to cross-training shoes, but these are especially made to last long and to make you comfortable while you run for hours. Besides, they won’t make shoes specifically for running if they don’t make a difference. These companies really spend money for research and development. In fact, running shoes these days have specific designs for different foot types since they greatly affect the impact on the foot while running. This is what big companies, like Adidas and Nike, currently advertise. You can try checking out their stores to know what kind of running shoes is perfect for you. Anyway, sorry if this post has gone too long. I think I got carried away. Even I, myself, couldn’t believe that I’m really running! LOL! Well, it’s never too late to join the fun and be healthy!

Most women out there probably have heard about the great news that cervical cancer can be prevented through a vaccine. I, for one, have been pushed by my mom to get this cervical cancer vaccine soon. Though a shot really costs a lot, I think there is nothing expensive when it comes to health concerns. Even if I’m not so comfortable with needles and even if a vaccine may have reported minor side effects, I’m willing to give it a shot, especially if the vaccine has something to do with fighting cancer. Probably, this is how most people think too.

When I watched the video below though, I was alarmed. I’m not sure if this is true, but reports say that 32 girls have died already due to Gardasil. Side effects of this cervical cancer vaccine are said to be pain and swelling, life-threatening muscle weakness, and blood clots in the heart and lungs. Now, isn’t that alarming?
