Bobbi Brown Makeup Manual: For Everyone from Beginner to Pro

Category: Beauty, Bookshelf, Lush-cious FindsLush Angel @ 5:13 am

I think I’m becoming a makeup enthusiast! :-) I’ve never posted so much about makeup until recently. I used to be contented in my basic makeup that I usually do (concealer, 2-way foundation powder, blush and lipstick), but now I feel it’s not enough. I’m just too eager to learn more. I’m amazed whenever I watch make-up artists practice their profession. I can say my little knowledge about makeup is mainly from watching them do others’ or my own makeup. And so now, I have to take it to another level. Hehe! I got this book, BOBBI BROWN MAKEUP MANUAL, recently… :-)

Number 1 Summer Must Have: Bikinis!!!

Category: Fashion, Lush-cious FindsLush Angel @ 11:07 am

Warning, this is a suuuper late post! Duh, isn’t it obvious with my title?! Hehehe! I was cleaning up my files when I saw these photos. Anyway, it is still summer in the other parts of the world so it’s never too late. :-) Plus, it’s surfing season here in the Philippines so I’d be wearing them soon! Who said the rain can stop us from hitting the beach? Hehehe! :-)

In my last trip to Boracay, I brought with me my new sets of bikinis. Yes, these photos were taken last April!!! LOL! Well, it’s never too late. I just wanna share here my great finds. :-) I remember the time I was hooked to buying Billabong and Roxy bikinis. I think I was in first year college then. Comparing to the bikinis we can now buy in bazaars or online shops, they are indeed too pricey. What I love about buying swimwears in bazaars or online is that their pieces are really stylish and of course, cheap! Definitely way cheaper than those famous brands, like Billabong and Roxy. Thanks to the young talented designers these days! :-)

Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Pen

Category: Beauty, Fashion, Lush-cious FindsLush Angel @ 8:50 am

I seldom use eyeliner. I find it so messy. Since I have watery eyes all the time (Drama queen, eh! LOL!), it smudges easily. And when that happens, I find it such a hassle to fix it- foundation, concealer and powder all over again around the eyes! Argh! Oh, and never did I use liquid eyeliner. Why? I can’t seem to control my hands using a tiny brush! Well, all these are facts of my past now. Hahaha! I can’t go out without eyeliner anymore! :-) I just recently discovered that there is now a waterproof liquid eyeliner pen. :-) Ignorant me! Has this been in the market for quite some time now??? Oh well, I just learned about it recently! Anyway, here’s what I bought…

Japonesque Pro Angled Foundation Brush

Category: Beauty, Lush-cious FindsLush Angel @ 11:21 am

Okay, let’s go back to my beauty-related posts. Hey, let me just clarify. I am no expert here. I’m not talking here as if I know everything. I just wanna share what my make-up artist friends have taught me and what make-up products work for me. What sucks about beauty products is that what works for one person doesn’t mean would work for others as well. Results vary as we have different skin types. As a tip, if you have found the beauty products that work best for your skin, stick to them. Trust me, it is so hard to find them unless your skin isn’t too picky. For people like me who have sensitive skin, it’s like a process of trial and error. It is definitely a waste of money whenever I try on something and my skin reacts to it. It can be frustrating! Hehehe!

Anyway, enough of my blabber. I have shared here two of my new found bestfriends, Smashbox Foundation Primer and Make Up For Ever Liquid Foundation. Now, wondering how I apply them on my face? I use this…

Getting Rugged: Part II

Again, as promised, here’s the second part of my rugged look. Sorry, I just have too many photos. Please bear with me. LOL! :-)

For the pictures below, I have exactly the same outfit as Part I, except for my top. I used a studded cropped shirt, which I got from Topshop about two months ago. Yes, it’s only now that I’m wearing it! Why?! When I went to Bangkok, I freaked out when I saw this exact top in one of the stalls! Argh! I swear, it is my cropped shirt- the studs, the cloth, the color, the print, everything! When I asked how much they were selling it, I wanted to faint! I got mine at Topshop for more than PHP 1,000 bucks. The imitation was priced at about PHP 300! Great! :-( Actually, when I saw it in the mannequin, it was the only time I remembered I have that exact top that’s why I had to stop and ask for the price. How I wish I just didn’t ask! LOL! :-)

Anyway, I just wanna forget that! When I saw my pictures wearing my cropped shirt, my PHP 1,000 bucks is worth it. Hahaha! Trying to console myself, eh?! Well, I’d say this outfit looks more rugged than my previous post. Obviously, it is because of the cropped shirt. Check out more pictures below.

Getting Rugged: Part I

As promised in my previous post, I’m breaking-in my new Ed Hardy Sneakers. Hehehe! :-)

My style? Getting rugged! :-) So not me? Well, I’m actually adventurous when it comes to what I wear. I really don’t have one signature style. I love experimenting, as long as it fits me well and I can carry myself. I can probably consider myself unpredictable. Well I guess that best describes me not only with the clothes I wear, but with anything else. LOL! :-)

Anyway, I need to give you guys a warning. This post contains a lot of pictures!!! I can’t decide what to post so I uploaded most of it. LOL! In fact, because I have too much pictures of my rugged look, I will have to cut this post into two parts. I decided to change my top after a number of camera clicks- that I’ll be sharing in Part II. LOL! Oh and guess what?! Not all pictures have the “happy face”! Hahaha!!! :-) So, here you go… You can click on the photos to enlarge. :-)

Ed Hardy Sneakers

Category: Fashion, Lush-cious Finds, Shoes, SandalsLush Angel @ 6:36 am

If you have seen any of my outfit posts, you would notice that I have never really worn sneakers. Ummm… Can you imagine me wearing one? Haha! Well, I do wear sneakers, especially when I travel. When I’m off for long walks and it’s not that cold to wear boots, I’d rather wear sneakers. It’s just unusual for me to wear one here in Manila, BUT with my new cutesy sneakers, now I can’t live without it! LOL! Check it out below. :-)

Make-Up 101: Make Up For Ever Liquid Foundation

Category: Beauty, Lush-cious FindsLush Angel @ 7:39 am

Never did I like liquid foundations. I tried it once and I hated it. After a few hours, my skin got so oily. I couldn’t last the entire day wearing it. It felt so heavy and sticky. Well, not until I was introduced to the face and body liquid foundation of Make Up For Ever. :-)

Make-Up 101: A Foundation Primer is a Must

Category: Beauty, Lush-cious FindsLush Angel @ 10:25 am

In my previous post, I’ve already shared my new found concealer. Well, the concealer itself works well in hiding those dark circles around the eyes, pimple scars, or basically anything you want to cover. As I said in my post though, I bought two other products for better, or shall I say BEST results. :-) Oh, make that three now since I recently purchased another important beauty tool right before I left for Bangkok. Hehe! :-) Anyway, to get that ultimate flawless complexion, check out this beauty product that I find essential, but is usually neglected.

I have read and heard a number of professional make-up artists talk about primers, but I never really paid much attention to it. I know I am not alone. Some ladies out there probably skip the primer as well right after applying your trusted moisturizer. Recently, I had a beauty talk with my friend, who is a freelance make-up artist. She did my make-up once for a final casting call. Geesh, yes I was pushed to go for a casting! Now I’m shy! Hahaha! :-) Anyway, moving on… I really liked what she did for my natural look and my make-up did not wear off even after several hours! In addition to this, my skin did not oil too much, which is a miracle! :-) When I went out with her again, I really had to ask for the products she used on me. At the back of my mind, I definitely have to buy them! Me not having an oily skin after several hours on full make-up is a miracle! LOL! :-)

And what’s the secret to a flawless complexion?

Make-Up 101: The Best Concealer for Lush Angel

Category: Beauty, Lush-cious FindsLush Angel @ 12:10 pm

I haven’t shared my beauty products for quite some time now. Sorry, my bad! My busy schedule the past few months did not allow me to blog anything! Well, now I’m free! :-) Plus, now is the perfect time for me to share some of my beauty products since I just recently spent on some make-up stuff. Oh dear, I’m really broke! In one day, I spent about a little more than Php 5,000 just for make-up! Argh! Oh, and add to that my shopping at Forever 21 two days after! Yes, finally I was able to drop by SM Megamall. :-) And guess why?! I went there for a check-up since I’ve been sick for almost 5 days now. Before going to the clinic, I stayed at Forever 21 for 4 hours and left the store as if there’s no tomorrow! I thought I’d feel better afterwards, but I was so wrong! LOL! I’m still sick, plus it just made me feel so broke. Haha! Since I don’t have work now, I love the fact that I’m able to rest all day and do whatever I want. I hate it as well since I end up shopping almost everyday! Oh dear! But anyway, everything I bought is really worth it. :-) As for the make-up, I have already tried them on. I was surprised with the outcome of my make-up. It’s like professionally done! LOL! Anyway, enough of my blabbering here. Let’s go back to business…
