Go Wild with Shoes

Friday, March 5th, 2010

As Nina Garcia said, a true fashionista is always daring and never dull. :-)

I’m sooo loving animal prints. It can spice up a simple outfit. It can throw a slight element of boldness. Well, just don’t overdo it or you might look like you belong to the jungle. *wink* As Nina Garcia suggested in her book The One Hundred, wear only one piece of animal print at a time, or you might look like a fashion roadkill. Pair animal print with neutral colors. Keep everything simple, and the print will carry itself. :-)

Recently, I purchased a peep toe high heeled shoes from Mango. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. It’s made of faux snake skin, but who cares? It was on sale! Hehehe! I got it for around Php 2,500 only. Check it out below.

New Look Zippy Leather Booties

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

On my way home last week, I passed by this popular fashion brand here in London, New Look. It’s like their Topshop but a bit cheaper. I’m loving their stuffs. Really, really lovin’ them! :-) So stylish. So modern. So fashionable. I’m getting so addicted to it that I now pass by the store almost everyday after office! The bad thing is, I carry a plastic bag everytime I get out of that store!!! Waaaah!!!

One of my loots I brought home is this zippy leather booties. I’m loving it sooo much ‘coz one it’s leather. Two, it has chunky heels that matches the style of the booties. Three, it’s uber comfy. And fourth, it’s simply a zippy booties, which I have been looking for so long. Hehehe! :-) I just find it both edgy and sexy when worn. :-) Got it for only GBP 25. Check it out…

Somebody Makes Me Warm…

Monday, October 26th, 2009

As October nearly comes to an end, the weather here in London just gets colder and colder everyday. Waking up in the morning makes it sooo hard that I always wish I could curl up under my cotton-soft comforter a little bit longer. But that has never been the case even on weekends since I’m making the most out of my stay here in London. Now who keeps me warm every single day???

Loving My New Booties

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

I have never liked the cold weather. It’s just so hard to move around. Hehehe!

It should be fall by now. The weather should be perfect- just the right cool breeze. A little layering of clothes should keep me warm. But no!!! The wind here is just so strong that no matter how many layers of clothes I put on, plus a coat on top, they just don’t seem to work! :-( Waaah!

But having this cold weather is not entirely bad. I sort of love it because I get to wear my winter clothes, which I don’t get to wear in Manila. I actually have a thing with winter clothes. I’m addicted to buying coats and I sooo love wearing booties! :-) In fact, before I left Manila, I was having a hard time choosing what coats to bring. If only I can bring them all just to wear them here… Hehehe! I just love the fall/ winter fashion! Something I wish I could wear in Manila, but obviously, I can’t unless I want a sauna feel! Hahaha! :-)

My New Baby from Hong Kong…

Monday, September 21st, 2009

After getting my Chanel flap bag and Louis Vuitton Trevi last March, I promised myself that I’ll only get my new baby if and only if I will go back to Europe. Well, I knew that was a long shot because I thought I wouldn’t be going back to Europe anytime soon. Anyway, I wanted to test my self-control, which I know, will most likely fail. Hahaha! :-)  Well, true enough, when I went back to Hong Kong last August, I was ready to spend to bring home a new baby. Guilty of having a low EQ! Hahaha! :-)

I went inside every Chanel, Balenciaga and Prada boutiques I saw in Hong Kong and Macau. In the end, I brought home this new baby…

Japanese Skirts are In!

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

Yes, yes, yes! Japanese skirts are definitely in and I’m loving it sooo much! :-) It’s not a new trend though. In fact, we’ve been seeing a lot of them everywhere. Even Target has it, like what my dear friend fashion juice have, as seen in her post. Love it dear! Loving the colors! :-)

Anyhoo, I’m sharing here KAT’s version of Japanese skirt. Since we love zipping up here and there (which will be pretty obvious when I post more of our dresses), then here’s our Japanese skirt, with a twist. Check this out…

My Birthday Outfit

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

Sorry, I know this is a long overdue post. Too many things happening for the past few weeks. I’m swamped with work, which is good so I won’t get crazy waiting for Arthur. Hehehe! :-)

Anyways, moving on… let’s talk about what I wore on my birthday. :-) My birthday fell on a weekday. Meaning, it’s an office day for me. I was starting to have a splitting headache already from thinking of what to wear on my special day. I had to wear red due to some Chinese tradition that I had to follow otherwise; I would receive a looong sermon from my mom. My red tops that were available in the pad were either too casual or too formal. I also have some reds that actually fall under the business attire dress code, but I felt it was too ordinary. I just wasn’t in the mood to wear my usual get-up. Hehehe! I wanted to be glam and yet simple. :-) So what did I end up wearing in the office?  Tada…

The Style Strategy- Nina Garcia’s Newest Book

Monday, September 7th, 2009

Lush Angel is back! Yup, I’m still here and I’m doing fine (that’s what I want to think…). Anyway,  I’m supposed to blog about my birthday outfit, but I’ll have to postpone that for tomorrow or some other day as I’m so excited to share about this new book of Nina Garcia. Hehehe! :-)

Arthur and I were craving for Pepper Lunch last Saturday so we decided to go to Rockwell and have our lunch there. He was doing his last minute shopping too so we really had to pass by Power Plant anyway. When we went inside National Bookstore, look what I saw…

the style strategy by nina garcia

Yes, it’s Nina Garcia’s newest book- The Style Strategy! :-) I’m becoming a fan of Nina Garcia after reading her books, The Little Black Book of Style and The One Hundred. I didn’t know that Nina Garcia released a new book recently. Oooops! My bad! Hehehe! I had a chance to browse through the book, The Style Strategy, and I loved it! :-) It talks about practicality. It’s all about the less-is-more approach to staying chic and shopping smart. Nina Garcia shares secrets of her own style strategy. She says, before you start shopping, you need to ask ourselves the 3 core questions- “What do I have?”, “What do I need”, and “What do I want?”.  Hmmm… sound interesting eh? Let us dig in to these questions… :-)
