Bohol Leap Year Wedding

Since I sort of shared my Bohol trip in my Bright and Colorful Summer outfit post already, here’s the real reason why my friends and I went there. We attended a wedding of our friend, and as you can see from my title, it was extra-ordinary- just like the couple. It was a leap year wedding. Technically, they were just celebrating their second year anniversary at that time. Haha! It was my first beach wedding ever and I guess, it was one of the best weddings I’ve witnessed. It was really, really fun! It turned out to be a reunion/ outing of friends. Anyway, just to keep the love and kilig in the air, I’m sharing the video taken by Jason Magbanua.

Stars Modeling Marni for H&M Collection

Sorry for the lack of posts. Since I came back from my vacation, my cough and colds got worse and now, I’m feverish. Let me just leave you with this video from the newest collaboration Marni X H&M. Aren’t you excited?! The collection is going to hit the stores on March 8 worldwide! Looking at the video below, I wish I could get at least a piece. I’m so in love with the textures, colors and patterns! They’re fun, at the same time, elegant! Oh gawd, bring me to H&M tomorrow please!!!

This song has been lingering on my head for the past weeks. It gives me goose bumps for some reason. A Thousand Years has been popularized by the movie, Breaking Dawn. Darn, that wedding scene is just “wow”. The ferns, the twigs, the flowers… Everything’s just so magical. It’s senti-Sunday everyone! LOL! Versace for H&M New York Launch

Remember my post about H&M collaborating with Versace? Well, Versace for H&M collection was already launched at a celebrity packed event in New York! Jessica Alba, Blake Lively, Alexander Wang, Linda Evangelista, Emma Roberts, Uma Thurman and Ke$ha joined Donatella Versace at the specially designed building on the Hudson River in New York.

H&M Dragon Tattoo Collection by Trish Summerville

Trish Summerville, the costume designer for the film “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and one of the top costume designers in Hollywood, designing for movies, celebrities, and artists, is H&M’s latest collaboration. She made H&M Dragon Tattoo Collection – a women’s collection with attitude. Its dark urban feel, with leather jackets and torn jeans is inspired by the film’s anti-heroine, Lisbeth Salander.

“Salander’s look is very real and very lived in, with pieces that her character has worn for a long time, like her jackets that act as her armour to shield her from the world. I wanted the collection to have the essence and strength of Salander, with a fashion edge, and I’m pleased with the result! My goal is for women to find pieces in it that they love and then mix them with their own wardrobe to create their own personal style,” – says Trish Summerville.

H&M Dragon Tattoo Collection will have its debut at colette in Paris on November 28, 2011. It will then be available from December 14, 2011 in H&M stores and online.

Let’s give beauty and fashion a break today. This song has been playing in my head during my entire out of town trip. My friends and I were watching this video and we were all amazed by Julie Anne San Jose’s rendition of Super Bass. It’s one song I really can’t sing because of the first and second stanzas. Yup, you can hear frustation here! Hahaha! When I see Nicki Minaj’s video of Super Bass, I just look at her makeup instead of attempting to sing the song. The only thing I can replicate in that song is Nicki’s makeup. LOL! Check out how Julie Anne San Jose sings Super Bass effortlessly.

Harry Potter Sights

Talking about Harry Potter may be a liitle too late since the last leg of the series has been shown in theaters several weeks ago. Believe it or not, I just recently watched it! Haha! I purposedly didn’t join the bandwagon. For me, movies are for leisure or to relieve stress even for a few hours, so I definitely want to watch at my own time and in my preferred seat. Well, getting a nice seat was close to impossible during the first week of Harry Potter in cinemas. Haha! With the long lines in almost all the theaters, I didn’t even bother to squeeze myself in. LOL! To be honest, I’m not really a big Harry Potter fan. I tried reading the first book, but after 10 pages, I stopped. I like the story, but I’d rather watch it in movies. Haha! So, what’s this post all about? Well, I still grew up with it. I can still remember looking forward on what’s going to happen in the next movie. I’m one of those who had to wait for a year since, as I said earlier, I didn’t read any of the books. Watching the last movie, made me a little bit sentimental. Hello, just look at the characters and compare them now from the first Harry Potter movie (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone)! Geesh, I can’t believe they were kids then, which also means, I’ve grown old with them! Haha!

Anyway, being sentimental and thinking that I won’t be waiting for a new Harry Potter movie in the next years to come, I began to look back at my photos when I was in UK. Oh, and I’ve seen in the news that there are a lot of tours specifically designed for Harry Potter sights around the UK now. And yes, there are a lot of people availing them! As I dig into my albums, I remember visiting places where some of the Harry Potter scenes were shot. Here are some of my photos. Enjoy!

Who would forget the King’s Cross Station? It’s the train station to Hogwarts! This is where Hagrid gave Harry a train ticket to Hogwarts for the very first time.

And yes, there really is a platform 9 3/4! On the way to platform 9, there’s this wall with a sign “PLATFORM 9 3/4″ and a luggage cart that seems to be passing through the wall! Well, obviously, it’s just for photo op. Hehe!

Can you guess what this is in the Harry Potter movie?

It’s the magical Diagon Alley, where wizards or witches buy almost everything they need, like their wands.

I can still remember getting lost as I look for this Leadenhall Market!

Can you still remember the Half-Blood Prince where Death Eater attacks? Behind me is the Millennium Bridge where that scene was shot. I remember this place was just a walk away from where I lived.

Some of the outdoor scenes in Prisoner of Azkaban and Half-Blood Prince were taken in Scotland. To be specific, they were shot in Scottish Highlands. Well, I wasn’t really able to see the exact shooting location in Scotland since we stayed in the city of Edinburgh.

But did you know that J.K. Rowling worked on the Harry Potter books at Edinburgh? This is where it all started. It’s also believed that the author used many parts of the city as her inspiration.

Now, let’s jump off to Oxford… Yes, this is Oxford and everything was just picturesque! I was like in a fairytale setting!

In Oxford, there’s the Bodleian Library. It was used as one of Hogwart’s interior in the movie. In the Goblet of Fire, this was where Mad-Eye Moody turned Draco into a ferret.

In the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the kids went up this stone staircase leading to the Great Hall.

Last but not the least, who wouldn’t recognize Hogwart’s dining hall, which was used in the Harry Potter series??? This is the hall of Christ Church, which is smaller in reality than what we see in the movies. Amazing!

These are only some of my photos. Sharing everything here would probably take me forever! LOL! I was just inspired to post some of the must-visit Harry Potter sights in the UK. Now, I’m getting even more sentimental. Going through all these pictures makes me want to go back. I believe I’ve said a few times here in my blog how much I love this place. I just feel so at home here. If there’s one place I’d call my second home, it would probably be London. Wishing I could be back soon…

Just a quick break from fashion and beauty posts. I just need to document this song. See my “Music” category on my sidebar? It’s where I post my fave artists/ songs once in a while. Well, my blog is not all about fashion and beauty anyway. This is where I keep anything and everything I desire and fancy. It’s not just any ordinary lifestyle blog. It is an online celebration of living the good life and what the world has to offer. Ummm… It’s just that most of the time fashion, beauty, gadgets and travel make my world go round! Haha!

Anyhoo, here is Marry Me by Train. It’s not really a new song. I just haven’t gotten the chance to post this. Oh, and definitely it’s not because I wanna walk down the aisle anytime soon. I just love its message and tune. I’m a self-confessed hopeless romantic and this song just make my heart melt whenever I hear it.

P.S. For the boys out there, this is such a beautiful song if you’re going to propose to your girl! Haha! And when she says “YES”, please don’t forget the fireworks! Haha! My imagination is running wild right now. Need to stop already! Haha!
