LOL! Just fooling around! As we all know, it has been a Chinese tradition to give tikoy (rice cake) to friends every Chinese New Year. Because of its sticky texture, it is believed that eating tikoy keeps the family close. Now I’m expecting to eat rice cake every morning because of the boxes of tikoy at home. Hehehe!

So how was my new year? Well, my family and I always have dinner on New Year’s eve. Last night, we celebrated it at my aunt’s place in China Town. I was fortunate to watch a dragon dance even if it was already late that night. Take a look at some of the pictures below. Some are blurry though because of the smoke from the fireworks.

Yup, yup, yup… You read that right!!! I’m back and yes, I’m still alive! Hahaha! It has been a while since I last posted something here in my blog. I missed blogging. It’s my hell process in the office that doesn’t allow me to. Now I’m not even sure how I’m going to have my vacation this summer. My mom wants to kill me already ‘coz I can’t even give a date! Hahaha! Oh well, since the year of the Tiger is coming, change must be done! Hehehe! I have so many things to share and now I promise myself to make time! So keep on coming back as Lush Angel is back with vengeance! Wahahaha!

Anyway, I just wanna greet everyone… Xin Nian Kuai Le! Kung Hei Fat Choi! I hope everyone would have a lucky year of the Tiger! Start the year right. Start it with the bang!

I just need to post this since I’m so alarmed with what’s happening back there in Manila.

A lot of Filipinos are still homeless and a lot of areas are still flooded due to typhoon Ondoy that surprised all of us last weekend. Now, another typhoon is on the way (or is in the vicinity already). What’s even more alarming is typhoon Ondoy is just one half of the strength of Pepeng or international name Parma! In fact, in terms of strength, it is said to be similar to typhoon Reming or international name Durian, which hit the countrly last 2006 and killed at least 734 people.

Oh dear, please stop!!! Let us all pray that everyone will be safe and for the typhoon to lose it’s strength before it completely hits the country.

I will just have to repost this article I got in the e-mail just to update everyone on typhoon Pepeng. The e-mail I got don’t have the source though, but it probably came from a newspaper or from an article online.

It is good to know how much all of us try our best to help one another. It’s just sad that we had to wait for something catastrophic to happen. But, it is never to late…

I received an e-mail on the list of places where you can give donations to all those who were badly affected by typhoon Ondoy. I just wanna re-post it here to help spread the word. To all the kind-hearted people, please refer to the list of establishments where you can drop off your donations for the typhoon Ondoy victims. Remember, even you Php 8.00 can buy a canned food. Every cent definitely counts! Even your old clothes, blankets, pillows, etc. will be of good use.

I was out during the weekend. I knew it rained heavily back home, but I never thought it was that tragic.

I just opened the news and I was surprised to see what happened to the streets of Manila. I lived there all my life and I never saw water on the streets that high just about anywhere. My Atsi sent me a message last Saturday saying it was flooded everywhere. We thought it was just the normal flooding in some areas. We didn’t know it was that bad. Very surprising. Very tragic.

It is during these times when we realize that money isn’t everything. The poor were not the only ones affected by this tragedy. Even the wealthy who live in villages experienced to be stuck in their second floors, or even on top of their roof. Something like this had to happen just to show that we can actually care for each other. It’s a sad realization, but it’s true.

I hope and pray that my family, friends, and everyone reading this are okay.

… to visit the Queen! Hehehe!

Nah! I’m actually going to London for a training. So, this is definitely a business trip… or at least that’s what I should be thinking! LOL! Actually, I find this very timely. When my boss told me that I’m going to London this September, I initially thought that it’s the best time to leave since Arthur is away. This would definitely help me veer my mind to something else (from Arthur to, let’s say… bags! Weee! Hahaha!).  In fact, in the original timeline, I was supposed to leave a day before Arthur! Good thing my visa wasn’t ready by then, and of course, I wouldn’t allow that to happen. Hehehe!

I think this is the longest time that I would be out of the country. I will be there for almost two months so you can just imagine my headache for the past few days thinking what to pack and what to leave behind. I always pack light, but for a business trip for almost 2 months, I’m just sooo clueless! Imagine, I need business attire, casual clothes, plus different jackets/ coats since towards October, it’s expected to be cold already.  Argh! Can my company just pay for my excess baggage?! LOL! I’m now seriously nervous what kind of life awaits me for the next two months! I should be excited… but for some reason, I’m not! I hate this feeling!

Hmmm… On second thought, I should really be excited because I feel a baby (or babies?!) is (or are?!) on the way! Oh well, we’ll see… I haven’t really thought about that yet. Maybe if I “deserve” some reward, then I could consider. LOL!

Anyway, gotta go now! I will update you as soon as I get there.
