Tips

• Don’t forget to apply on your neck area as well.

Overall

Surprisingly, I have to say it’s actually good for all skin types! Since it does feel like water on skin, you can simply layer the product, depending how much hydration you need. For those with oily skin, like me, just apply Laneige Water Sleeping Pack thinly. For those with dry skin, simply add more. What I love about this product is I don’t find it greasy. It can take time to be absorbed by my skin, but it’s not irritating at all since there’s no heavy feel. It’s instant hydration right after application. I also see a slight brightening effect in the morning.

I recommend Laneige Water Sleeping Pack to those who are into moisturizing masks, minus the hassle of mask sheets. It’s great for all skin types, even to those with combination or oily skin.

This type of shade is compact and creamier in texture. Cybershadows are highly pigmented and rich in pearly pigments. The creamy texture makes the eyeshadow more easily usable and produces perfect results. The lighter tones can act as a highlighter and can also be applied on lips for a shimmery effect.

I love it because…

• there’s very minimal fall out.
• it’s pigmented.
• Gold shade is a nice lid color. It’s not exactly “gold”. It’s more of a pearly taupe shade, as seen in my swatches below.
• it has creamy texture.
• it doesn’t crease on me even without a primer.
• it’s easy to blend.

I wish…

• it’s cheaper. A pot of 2g is priced at PHP 899.
• it can be purchased anywhere. Currently, Make Up Store Philippines can be purchased in Podium.

Tips

• For those with oily lids, apply an eyeshadow primer to make it long lasting and to prevent the shadow from creasing.

Overall

Make Up Store Eyeshadow can be a bit pricey compared to other brands, but I have to say the quality is impressive. It’s highly recommended to those who are willing to spend on good quality eye shadows. It’s creamy, long-lasting (even without primer), pigmented, and easy to blend.

Make Up Store Cybershadow in Gold… Don’t be fooled by its name as it’s not really “gold”. It’s more of pearlized taupe color.

If you’ve been a reader of my blog for years now, you can probably remember me posting sale events of Crocs every now and then. I love the brand that I don’t want you guys to miss such great opportunity. I bought my first pair back in 2010 and I even shared it THIS POST. Can you believe that pair is still my travel companion up to this day?! It has gone through a lot of places all over the world. My feet have become so dependent on that pair that I always reach for it whenever I’m going to do a lot of walking. Yes, it’s that comfortable. Just imagine my excitement when I was invited to witness the launch of Crocs Beach Line.

I went home with this colorful flip flops called Huarache Flip Flops. So cute, eh?!

The colors would have been such a great contrast on Boracay’s white sand! I should have worn this pair! Hmmm… Or maybe I should go back soon???

I’ve been holding this post for sooo long. I’ve been wanting to share this review after weeks of trying one of Za’s popular product, Za Total Hydration BB Cream UV White. I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about it too. Let’s see how it fares on my oily skin.

I love it because…

• it’s easy to tote around. It comes in a non-bulky tube.

• it has SPF 50+ PA+++.

• it has buildable coverage- light to medium.
• I can skip concealer application. I just apply more coverage on the undereye area and blemishes. Dark blemishes or red acne marks may need additional coverage of concealer.
• it looks natural and dewy once it sets.
• it has velvety smooth texture. It doesn’t feel sticky or greasy.
• it feels light on skin.
• it’s long-lasting.
• it doesn’t get patchy.
• it’s affordable at PHP 450 for 20g. 

I wish…

• it’s available in other shades. It only comes in 1 shade, which can be too white for those with darker skin tones. See tips below how to use the bb cream if it’s too white for you.
• it can control oil. Since it’s a total hyration product, my oilies start to say hello after a few minutes. See tips below on how to deal with this.

Tips

• After your usual skin regimen (facial wash, toner, moisturizer, sunblock), apply Za Total Hydration BB Cream UV White. You can also opt to use a primer prior to bb cream application.
• If you have normal to dry skin, you can use the bb cream as is, like a moisturizer (no need to set with powder).
• You can pat on more bb cream under the eye and on light blemishes for additional coverage if you wish to skip concealer.
• For those with dark or red acne marks, you might need additional coverage of concealer. If so, don’t forget to set with powder to prevent concealer from sliding off.
• If the bb cream is too white for your skin tone, use a darker shade of setting powder. You can also opt to use the bb cream as a highlighter on the apples of the cheeks, forehead, nose and chin, instead of using it on your entire face.
• For those with oily skin, use an oil control primer and setting powder.

Overall

Although I oil up after a few minutes of applying Za Total Hydration BB Cream UV White, my oil-free primer and setting powder can do the job to help control my oilies. I’m amazed how long lasting this bb cream is. It can withstand heat and sweat. I tried using it all day and even spent an hour or so under the sun for a fun shoot with friends. Here I am still looking fresh right after! Take note that I didn’t retouch here. I just pat tissue to take away my sweat.

I recommend Za Total Hydration BB Cream to those looking for a long lasting bb cream at an affordable price.

This is what I wore during my flight to Boracay last week. Since I was off to the beach, I opted for light, summer-ready clothes. And just to be different from my usual choice, which would be a summer dress, I thought of wearing this…

Who said rugged and edgy pieces must be in dark or basic colors? Why not go for pastels and bright colors?

Studded muscle shirt in pink and distressed shorts in floral both sound ironic, but it’s fun to mix edgy details with feminine colors and prints!

Bright skater kicks anyone? It was one of my great finds in Hong Kong last January. I just remembered taking it out for a spin now. Eeeek!

Of course, the beach won’t be complete without sunnies! Haha! After sooo many years inside my closet, I’m back to using my Ray-Ban Lennon sunglasses again! Round, vintage-style frames are back!

No dainty bags this time. I used my colorful mosaic backpack from Outdoor Products as my hand carry.
