#MACAVAF SM Seaside Cebu

As mentioned in my previous post, I’ll be sharing more about #MACAVAF! (If you haven’t read about my first day in Cebu with M.A.C, you can check it out here: M.A.C Technique Makeup Lesson + Mobile App) So, what’s this #MACAVAF you’ve been seeing in my social media accounts (Instagram and Twitter: @lush_angel; Facebook page: lushangelblog)? Well, it stands for M.A.C Astounding Vital Audacious Fantastic – adjectives that perfectly describe M.A.C’s opening at SM Seaside Cebu. It was one of the grandest launch of M.A.C Philippines to date – with the outstanding event set-up, live body art, and high energy performers and DJs. It was a stunning color carnival of chaos and creativity, which definitely represents M.A.C’s makeup – colorful… fun…vivid… lively! The event was packed with media, celebrities/personalities, and loyal customers. It was surely a beautiful way to celebrate M.A.C’s opening at SM Seaside Cebu! Here are some photos during the much-talked about #MACAVAF! live body art painting by talented M.A.C artists colorful set up high energy performers Joyce Pring sharing her wonderful voice And the much-awaited M.A.C store in Cebu!!! Nope, there was no sale – just loyal customers hoarding! 😉 Thank you so much M.A.C for an astounding, vital, audacious and fantastic weekend! It was one of a kind! 😀 The newly opened M.A.C boutique is located at the 2nd level of SM Seaside Cebu. For instant...

Up Above at Khai Island, Thailand

Here’s my third instalment of my Phuket trip. On our second day, we went to Similan Islands, which you can see in these blog posts: SIMILAN ISLANDS and RUFFLED. The next day, we went to Phi Phi Islands and part of the tour was a 2-hour stop at Khai Island. It was definitely less crowded here compared to Similan. And you know what this means… a photo op! LOL! Oh, what we would do to take nice photos?! Climb those huge rocks – in sandals! Haha! Judging from the photos, it doesn’t look too high. But trust me, I had to do big leaps to get to the top – in a bikini and sandals. LOL! The struggle was real! Well, the climb was worth it. It’s always refreshing to see blue green waters and rock formations, right? If I could just stay up there all day, why not?! The sun was like frying my skin though. Good thing my swimwear was sturdy enough to get through my mini “adventure” – if that’s how I should call it. Well, you know how swimsuit fabric hates sharp edges of rocks. 😉 This two-piece set is from Cesa, by the way. This is probably one of my favorites from Cesa’s new collection. One (which is quite obvious if you know me well), it’s black and white. They are always my staples. Two, I could wear the...

Siem Reap Camboida: Pub Street

As promised in my last Cambodia Travelogue post, I will be sharing our food trip. We spent our dinners and night outs at their famous Pub Street. All tuk tuk drivers know where this is for sure. Restaurants/Pubs are open until wee hours in the morning. Of course, they are also open for lunch, but since most of our days were spent visiting temples, we ate lunch in other local restaurants on the way. There is also Night Market in Pub Street. For me, Khmer cuisine (Cambodian cuisine) is actually similar to Thai food. Actually, most restaurants serve Thai food like Spring Rolls, Pad Thai, Tom Yum, etc. Just like most Asian dishes, rice is a staple. The most famous Khmer dish that you should try is the Amok. It is a curry dish, but unlike Thai, Lao, and Malaysian Curry, Amok is not intended to be spicy. It’s more flavourful and fragrant. During this trip, I wasn’t fond of eating curry yet but surprisingly, I liked the taste of Amok. Are you familiar with fish spa? You’ll see a lot of that in Pub Street and most of them have this sign… LOL! Before I forget, getting a massage is a must! There are a lot of spas around Pub Street. I tell you, it is one of the best I’ve ever tried! Oh, did I mention I only paid USD $5?! I’m...

Travelogue Siem Reap: Preah Khan

And the temple run continues… Sharing one last must-visit temple before I get into details of my Cambodia trip. Preah Khan, which means Royal sword, was built in the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII to honor his father. Similar to Ta Prohm temple, which I shared HERE, Preah Khan has been left untouched with the jungle-like surroundings and trees growing out of the ruins. It’s a bit of adventure going around, as if we were passing through different terrains. Check out my travel diary below to see what I mean. Ruffled

Here is another set of photos during my recent trip to Phuket. (See my previous Phuket post in this link: http://lushangel.com/2016/03/09/similan-islands/) This was also taken at Similan Islands. Thankfully, we found a spot where there are not much tourists. Who said off shoulders and ruffles are only for blouses?! Why not make it a swimsuit? Keeping it sassy with ruffles, off-shoulders, and florals here… So, how do you find this swimsuit? 😉 Swimsuit: CesaPH (Instagram); cesaph.com For instant beauty, fashion, travel, foodie, or random updates from me, LIKE lushangelblog on FACEBOOK, FOLLOW lush_angel on TWITTER and lush_angel on...
