OOTD: Steel The Scene

Nope, it’s not a typo. It’s steel for my #OOTD location, as seen in the photos below. Haha! Sorry, I couldn’t think of a catchy title, but I guess I got your attention now. LOL! Taking a break from athleisure outfit this day. I thought of going for something feminine – lace, old rose and cream shades, and heels. Ummm… I realized how much I missed wearing heels!!! Haha! Pink is usually the first thing that comes to mind when we say feminine or girly color. But not all ladies are comfortable wearing pink. Some would say, it’s too “girly”. Here’s a nice, elegant combination that’s feminine, at the same time, can be a scene-stealer. What do you think? What’s In My Bag

I can’t really remember if I ever shared a What’s In My Bag post or if I did, I’m quite sure that’s years ago – and outdated! And since some of you have been requesting this post, here it is! I normally love to tote huge bags simply because I can put in so much stuff! I like to be a girl scout – someone who’s always ready whenever I or the people I’m with need something. If I can only bring my entire house with me wherever I go, I would. Well, this is somehow my car’s situation! LOL! Unfortunately, carrying around so much things in my bag has been taking a toll on my back. This is why I’ve been trying to switch to smaller bags. Obviously, my dilemma is how to let go of the things I think I “need”. Well, I guess I deserve a pat on the back for finally being able to select my non-negotiables – for now. Anyway here are the usual things I bring inside my bag. Of course, sometimes I can’t just resist adding more depending where I’m going. Wallet This is probably the heaviest of all!!! Wait… not because of the moolah! LOL! All those membership cards and receipts make my wallet explode! This I have yet to fix – what I should bring and leave behind. I tried...

OOTD: Bomber

Hi loves! Whew… so much things happening right now! I’m sure most of you have been following the local and international news lately. Anyway, let’s take a break for a while and talk about fashion. Are you into bomber jackets? It’s pretty popular these days! Ah… I love them, especially as December is nearing and we’re about to experience cooler nights! Here’s one of those nights I decided to rock my bomber jacket… This bomber jacket is from Dorothy Perkins from its Style Heroes AW16 collection. It was love at first sight! I usually see printed or colorful bomber jackets. If you’ve been reading my blog for quite a while or if you’ve seen my Instagram (@lush_angel), my pick is quite obvious – black and white it is!!! I like how sleek it looks despite it being a bomber jacket, which usually is very casual. It can even be worn in the office like a blazer paired with slacks or pencil skirt. The fabric is good enough for a light cover up too – not bad for our Manila weather. I wore this in an intimate dinner event. It’s not a very formal event so I thought of dressing down the look a bit through my denim culottes. So, what do you think? Hope you like the look! On a side note, I’m leaving for Japan in a few! It’s...

OOTD: Jumper Trend

I’m not the type who would wear a jumper. I find it cute, but it’s not just my style. But this doesn’t mean I would completely forget about wearing a jumper. How about a “semi-jumper” dress? It’s not really a “jumper-jumper”, if you know what I mean. It doesn’t have those straps. It’s that v-neck kind of dress with a low neckline. It can actually be worn as is, I just don’t have the guts to do so. It’s nice to wear it with a long sleeves polo shirt or even an off-shoulder top inside. For this look though, I thought of wearing a haltered top with lace-like details to add texture. It was a casual day so I paired my dress with comfortable sneakers. How about you? Do you love wearing jumpers? If you can’t see yourself trying the jumper trend, I guess this is a good variation. It’s not exactly a “jumper” but it gives the same relaxed vibe and layered styling. Kipling x Alexandra Levasseur + Fall 2016 Collections

A few weeks ago, Kipling opened their SM Mall of Asia boutique where they also launched the Kipling x Alexandra Levasseur collection and Fall collection. I was amazed how Kipling fans patiently waited to get first dibs of the new collections and to grab huge discounts! I tell yah, the line was LOOONG! Kipling x Alexandra Levasseur Kipling introduces Alex Bloom – a highly- anticipated exclusive collection designed by the acclaimed Canadian painter and illustrator Alexandra Levasseur, whose works have been featured in international magazines and festivals, as well as exhibited in prestigious museums and galleries. One of Alexandra Levasseur’s career highlight was her series of illustrations for SHOW studio during Fashion Week in Milan where she created artwork pieces that represented her interpretation of famous Italian designers such as Prada, Gucci and Versace. For 2016, she collaborated with Kipling where her artworks became backdrops for its visual images this Fall. In collaboration with Kipling, Alexandra Levasseur injects Diamond Blacks, Vibrant Reds and Jazzy Blues to Kipling’s usually vibrant styles to deliver unique differentiation in style and versatility. The collection’s print features steely toned blooms and winter florals, taking inspiration from flora and fauna, and elements of Kipling’s trademark monkey to reflect Alexandra Levasseur’s signature mishmash design, evoking memories of the season. Isn’t that print sooo pretty?! I’m actually eyeing on the cross-body bag! I can already imagine using...
