Time To Visit SM Seaside City Cebu

Just before 2015 ended, SM Seaside City finally opened its doors to the Cebuanos. It’s actually one of the first developments in the master plan of SM Prime Holdings for their 30- hectare space at the South Road Properties, which will eventually be a landmark in the region. When I first saw the photos of SM Seaside City Cebu, I immediately thought of SM Mall of Asia because of their similarities. Both are located beside the waterfront: SM Seaside City Cebu has a spectacular view of the Cebu Channel, just as the SM Mall of Asia has Manila Bay and its glorious sunset as a picturesque backdrop. I remember attending a wedding at the beautiful Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod a few years back. I couldn’t help but wonder then why the chapel was built in between empty lands. Little did I know that it was within the South Road Properties and it was the first structure to open at SM Seaside Complex. Similarly, the Shrine of Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life paved the way for the development of the SM Mall of Asia complex. And who hasn’t seen SM Mall of Asia’s iconic landmark, the Globe? Have you seen the news before that it was even used for a marriage proposal?! Well, SM Seaside City Cebu also has the Cube, a steel 21- meter by...

OOTD: Mykonos

Before 2015 ended, my family and I visited Balesin Island. I think I was the only one in the family who was really excited. None of them likes the beach. As for me, I could lounge by the shore all day! Anyway, here’s one of my outfits during that trip. I thought of sharing it since summer is coming so soon here in the Philippines. Time to shop for resort wear! We spent our first night at the Mykonos villas so I made sure to blend well with the blues and whites. It looks like Santorini, Greece, huh?! Who would ever get tired of that view?! Almost all the villas in Balesin have nice swimming pools, but this one is my favorite. Here are more photos of my outfit… For a more Grecian vibe, I wore a pair of gladiator sandals. Haha! Hey, it goes well with resort wear. 😉 Dress: shein.com Sandals: Mango Sunglasses: Bvlgari Bag: Issey Miyake Watch: Cookoo For instant beauty, fashion, travel, foodie, or random updates from me, LIKE lushangelblog on FACEBOOK, FOLLOW lush_angel on TWITTER and lush_angel on...

OOTD: Turn Back Time

If I could turn back time, what would it be? I’d choose to stay home than be in this paradise on that weekend when Dolce died. The feeling of guilt is still creeping in, unfortunately. But then again, I guess Dolce chose to leave while I’m not around. (More about Dolce on My Last Goodbye to Dolce post) These photos were taken at Pearl Farm. Would you believe I spent most of the time in this paradise crying?! What a waste, I know! Well, I somehow took the opportunity to take photos around… and yes, wear this lovely dress too. I’ve been eyeing on this dress for quite a while already. I’ve always loved sexy bare back dresses. Obviously, when I saw this at Style Staple, I couldn’t let it go! I just couldn’t find the right time to wear it. Haha! But this dress definitely fits this serene place, don’t you think?! I love how this dress can be worn on formal occasion, like wedding, or as a beach dress. In fact, I’m planning to wear it on my friend’s wedding soon. Well, if you find it too revealing, Style Staple can easily adjust that for you – free of charge. As for the fit, it’s meant to be loose and flowy – which means I can eat whatever I want! Haha! Sorry, I have so many back...

Forever Summer

It was a busy summer for me. During this season, I’m not used to staying here in the metro most of the time, especially on weekends. Well, I’m not complaining. Being busy and a little stress from time to time is good. Haha! Sad to say though that my only real beach trip this summer was my escape to Donsol, Sorsogon last April. We actually went to Donsol for whale shark watching, but that deserves a separate post. After our whale shark watching, we spent another day island hopping. From Sorsogon, we went to a couple of islands in Masbate. Here’s one of the islands. I forgot the name though, but the rock formation is amazing. To get to the top is not for the faint of heart. Honestly, my body was shaking as I was posing for these photos. Yes, “buwis-buhay” shots for the love of lushangel.com! Haha! So, just imagine my relief the moment I got down. I had to lie down. Haha! As you can see, the sand is white but a bit rocky. Again, I had to endure the pain for the love of lushangel.com! LOL! Anyway, I really love this lace kimono. I used it in a casual outfit, as seen in this post: http://lushangel.com/2015/04/14/ootd-lace-up/ It can also be used as a beach cover-up. The fringes add drama, especially when the wind blows, right?! I...

The Discovery Country Suites Experience

A few months back, I enjoyed an overnight staycation at Discovery Country Suites in Tagaytay. If you’ve been following me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you’ve probably seen my unending posts about this place. Sorry for flooding, but if you know me, I don’t really post that much unless I’m extremely happy. I’ve also shared in my previous blog post how satisfied my tummy was in their very own Restaurant Verbana. If you’re going to Tagaytay for a day trip or food trip, you shouldn’t miss it! Read more about it in my Restaurant Verbena by Discovery Country Suites Tagaytay post. Now, it’s time to share my staycation experience. There’s a reason why I call it “The Discovery Country Suites Experience”. Know more about it below. When I arrived at Discovery Country Suites, a bouquet of flowers and refreshing drink welcomed me. It was a perfect treat after a long drive. First order of business was to tour the property! Just a little trivia, this used to be a vacation house of the Tiu family, which they then decided to convert to a bed and breakfast. I really had a hard time trimming down my photos – reason why this post came a bit late. You’ll be surprised that for a relatively small place, I have almost 200 photos! Every corner is just picture perfect- even the rooms! Let me...
