OOTD: Turn Back Time

If I could turn back time, what would it be? I’d choose to stay home than be in this paradise on that weekend when Dolce died. The feeling of guilt is still creeping in, unfortunately. But then again, I guess Dolce chose to leave while I’m not around. (More about Dolce on My Last Goodbye to Dolce post) These photos were taken at Pearl Farm. Would you believe I spent most of the time in this paradise crying?! What a waste, I know! Well, I somehow took the opportunity to take photos around… and yes, wear this lovely dress too. I’ve been eyeing on this dress for quite a while already. I’ve always loved sexy bare back dresses. Obviously, when I saw this at Style Staple, I couldn’t let it go! I just couldn’t find the right time to wear it. Haha! But this dress definitely fits this serene place, don’t you think?! I love how this dress can be worn on formal occasion, like wedding, or as a beach dress. In fact, I’m planning to wear it on my friend’s wedding soon. Well, if you find it too revealing, Style Staple can easily adjust that for you – free of charge. As for the fit, it’s meant to be loose and flowy – which means I can eat whatever I want! Haha! Sorry, I have so many back...

Forever Summer

It was a busy summer for me. During this season, I’m not used to staying here in the metro most of the time, especially on weekends. Well, I’m not complaining. Being busy and a little stress from time to time is good. Haha! Sad to say though that my only real beach trip this summer was my escape to Donsol, Sorsogon last April. We actually went to Donsol for whale shark watching, but that deserves a separate post. After our whale shark watching, we spent another day island hopping. From Sorsogon, we went to a couple of islands in Masbate. Here’s one of the islands. I forgot the name though, but the rock formation is amazing. To get to the top is not for the faint of heart. Honestly, my body was shaking as I was posing for these photos. Yes, “buwis-buhay” shots for the love of lushangel.com! Haha! So, just imagine my relief the moment I got down. I had to lie down. Haha! As you can see, the sand is white but a bit rocky. Again, I had to endure the pain for the love of lushangel.com! LOL! Anyway, I really love this lace kimono. I used it in a casual outfit, as seen in this post: http://lushangel.com/2015/04/14/ootd-lace-up/ It can also be used as a beach cover-up. The fringes add drama, especially when the wind blows, right?! I...

The Discovery Country Suites Experience

A few months back, I enjoyed an overnight staycation at Discovery Country Suites in Tagaytay. If you’ve been following me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you’ve probably seen my unending posts about this place. Sorry for flooding, but if you know me, I don’t really post that much unless I’m extremely happy. I’ve also shared in my previous blog post how satisfied my tummy was in their very own Restaurant Verbana. If you’re going to Tagaytay for a day trip or food trip, you shouldn’t miss it! Read more about it in my Restaurant Verbena by Discovery Country Suites Tagaytay post. Now, it’s time to share my staycation experience. There’s a reason why I call it “The Discovery Country Suites Experience”. Know more about it below. When I arrived at Discovery Country Suites, a bouquet of flowers and refreshing drink welcomed me. It was a perfect treat after a long drive. First order of business was to tour the property! Just a little trivia, this used to be a vacation house of the Tiu family, which they then decided to convert to a bed and breakfast. I really had a hard time trimming down my photos – reason why this post came a bit late. You’ll be surprised that for a relatively small place, I have almost 200 photos! Every corner is just picture perfect- even the rooms! Let me...

Restaurant Verbena by Discovery Country Suites Tagaytay

Tagaytay has been a go-to relaxation place of a lot of people from Manila. It’s a breather from the hustle and bustle of the city. In fact, I love to go to Tagaytay to get a massage, to go on a staycation, or simply to eat. I frequent the city almost every month. Recently, I discovered a new place to dine in Tagaytay. It’s not exactly new. For some reason, I just never noticed it. Why oh why?! What’s wrong with my eyes?! It’s Restaurant Verbena by Discovery Country Suites. Discovery Country Suites is a bed and breakfast kind of property. It was refurbished and re-opened last November 2014. Included in the renovation is Restaurant Verbena, Discovery Country Suites’ dining area. I’ll be sharing more about my staycation experience at Discovery Country Suites in a different post. For now, let me share how much I was missing a lot every time I go to Tagaytay without satisfying my tummy at Restaurant Verbena. The moment you enter Discovery Country Suites, you’ll see the dining area right away. As you can see from my photos, the feel is very homey. It’s as if you’re just dining at your own home, but with the view of the Taal Lake and Volcano. Even the servers are so nice. They attend to your needs – even without asking them. They simply know how to...

Chillin’ At Discovery Country Suites

Before I share my beautiful staycation experience at Discovery Country Suites, let me show you first my favorite spot here. Who wouldn’t fall in love with this outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the Taal lake?! Despite the fog, the view was perfect. I wouldn’t deny, I hoped for clear blue skies, of course. But as you can see from my photos below, the view was still spectacular! You might wonder how I could lounge in my swimwear in Tagaytay. Well, since it’s summer, it doesn’t get too cold during day time. It still gets a bit chilly at night though. Also, that jacuzzi is heated, so I don’t mind staying in there all day – with my special delivery of lemon water! 😀 Haha! I really commend the service here at Discovery Country Suites. They know what the customers want and need – without even asking them. I even got several surprises from them, as you can see from my Instagram posts (username: lush_angel). Big thanks again to The Discovery Leisure Company team! Anyway, await for my stories on their food and accommodations. They definitely deserve to be on the spotlight. 😀 Obviously, with this spectacular view, I took the opportunity to take photos of this swimwear I recently got from Cesa. Honestly, this is the first one-piece swimsuit I’ve ever owned. What made me decide to get this? The back detail!...
