Shiseido Eyelash Curler Review

For the longest time, I’ve been a user of the most coveted Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. I’ve never thought something can ever come close to it until I was able to try Shiseido Eyelash Curler. Which of the two is better? I know so many reviews have been written about the battle of Shu Uemura vs Shiseido eyelash curlers, but coming from a Shu Uemura user, let me share my views about Shiseido Eyelash Curler. Shiseido Eyelash Curler vs Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler   The grip of Shiseido Eyelash Curler is almost the same as Shu Uemura’s. Since I have smaller fingers, I find Shiseido more comfortable to hold. Shu Uemura eyelash curler has slightly bigger finger grips, but it’s not much of a difference. Shiseido eyelash curler is wider, making it a better choice compared to Shu Uemura if you have wide eyes. It also has shallower curve, which helps in avoiding eyelid pinches and in reaching even the smallest lashes on the corners of the eyes. Both Shiseido and Shu Uemura eyelash curlers do not clump my lashes. They both give me natural looking lashes. with mascara without mascara Both Shiseido and Shu Uemura eyelash curlers keep my lashes curled all through out the day, even without mascara. Shiseido Eyelash Curler has a thinner pad, compared to Shu Uemura’s. It needs more pressure when clamping. Shu Uemura...

Charm Retractable Powder Brush Review

I’m on the go most of the time, which is why I’m always on the lookout for products that are travel-friendly. Here’s a brush from Charm which most makeup users, even if you’re just a powder-lipstick kind of girl, might just need. Check out my review of Charm Retractable Powder Brush: Product Information The Charm Essentials Retractable Powder Brush is your go-to brush if you want something compact, and something versatile. It can apply your pressed powder, your mineral powder, blush, and even loose powder. Its circumference is smaller than the Charm Retractable Kabuki, which lets you work on your features, one small area at a time. For density, this is surely dense and will help you get the coverage that you want! I love it because… it has that perfect retractable mechanism. It keeps the brush in shape and the bristles in great condition. it’s a great travel brush. The size is perfect- easy to hold as I buff it on my face, at the same time, can fit in a small makeup kit. the cover is tight enough. I’m confident that I won’t lose the cover while the brush is inside the bag. I don’t need to worry then that my purse will get dirty because of a dirty makeup brush. it’s vegan. it’s super soft. There’s no scratchy feel at all! it doesn’t shed. it’s dense....

Laura Mercier Folklore Summer 2013 Collection

Rich. Earthy. Tribal. This is Laura Mercier’s Folklore Summer 2013 Collection. It’s summer and now is the perfect time to sport that healthy radiant sun-kissed look. Go for that bronzed and sun-drenched look by choosing warm and earthy shades. Let your eyes sparkle with earthy prisms of gold, copper, and bronze. Finish it off by lining your eyes with rich blues and greens and long, lush lashes. For that kissable lips, softly crayon lips in brown and pink tones. Now, can you imagine your summer makeup? 😀 I do! 😀 Laura’s inspiration for 2013 collections draws from the feminine spirit and the many difference expressions of women. For the summer season, Laura travels to the past to find inspiration for the future. From the cultural influence of south and Central American civilizations, Laura takes these richly textural native cultures and expresses them in an earthy summer palette. Inspired by Aztec influences and fantastical rituals, her colours are reminiscent of ancient symbols and artifacts, textiles and jewelry. Imagine the spirit of earth and fire, infused into an illuminating new mosaic of colour. I was able to get a sneak peek of Laura Mercier’s Folklore Summer 2013 Collection during its launch. Let me share them with you. 😀 Illuminating Eye Color (PHP 995) in Sun Glow, Fire Glow and Earth Glow; Faux Lash Mascara (PHP 995) in Sierra Brown; Long Lash Mascara (PHP...

BYS Spring Summer 2013 Trends

BYS is quite new in the Philippines, entering in the local industry late last year. In fact, I only had the chance to try out most of their cosmetics recently during a press event featuring the Spring Summer 2013 Makeup Trends. BYS (in short of Be YourSelf) is a fun, fashionable cosmetic brand from Australia that carries over 1,000 extensive and creative range of products. They bank on their promise of good quality and great value cosmetics that everyone can afford. BYS is a fast growing cosmetic brand in Australia and globally- now in UK, France, South Africa, Middle East, and Japan (their largest market). BYS Cosmetics are not tested on animals. Thanks to iFace Cosmetics, the brand was brought to the Philippines! We had our own makeup stations during the event to personally try out their collection. I must say, with the quality and prices, consumers get great value! Fun and colorful eye shadows… liners and some makeup tools… Minerals Naturale is their very affordable mineral makeup collection. I’m in love with their lipsticks, especially their Lip Duo (lipstick on one end and lipgloss on the other end). It’s non-drying and best of all, it’s just PHP 299! A full review of this is coming soon. 🙂 And since summer is here, let me share the BYS Spring Summer 2013 Makeup Trends, which was presented to us by Michael...
