As you’ve already noticed in my previous posts, I’ve always been a fan of the “no makeup” makeup look. So for this look, I tweaked it a bit by going for a bright lip color. See how one product can make a difference.

I still sticked to my glowing makeup. I tried the new Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation and I like the natural, soft finish! It is like “my skin but better”. I’ll do a more detailed review of this foundation soon. For dark blemishes, I used Bobbi Brown Full Cover Concealer. I set everything with La Mer loose powder.

For a more glowing skin, I brushed Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Luminous Multi-Colour Powder on my cheeks and on the high points of my face. This is one of my favorite recent discoveries. I really love the glow and nice color it gives to my pale skin tone. To add a more natural flush, I used Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick N°25 on the apples of my cheeks. I kept my brows natural by just filling in the gaps using Benefit Brow Zings.

For my eyes, I kept it simple by applying a thin line of brown eyeliner from K-Palette. I also curled my lashes and used CliniqueFit Mascara.

Now for my lips, I used the new Lip Lacquer of Tom Ford in Molten Orchid. This lip lacquer is surprisingly very easy to apply because of its slanted slim applicator. I don’t get messy edges, unlike others. The texture, which is a little thick, probably helped too. Although it disappears a bit after drinking, it fades nicely and still leaves a nice tint on the lips.

To be honest, I seldom use bright lip colors because they usually make my face look rounder and I look fairer. Night outs are, of course, an exception but I barely go out anymore. Haha! But on days when I just want my face to lighten up, the trick is to use a bright lip color. Plus, red tones can make the teeth look whiter too. So the next time you are looking tired, don’t hesitate to swipe something bright on your lips. It’s an instant pick-me-up!
