Change your look through your eye color – and I’m not talking about eye shadow here. I meant, real eye color through contact lenses. I guess, a lot of you have tried this already, so apologies if I sound so ecstatic. Please give it to this first timer! LOL! 😀 I’m blessed to have 20-20 vision so I don’t have to rely on eye glasses or contact lenses. I’ve been meaning to try colored contact lenses though just to change my look from time to time. In fact, I bought several colored lenses before but I never had the chance to try them on. Problem: I’m so afraid to put on contact lens. I always see my family and friends do it, therefore essentially I know the basics. I’m just scared to poke my eyes. Call me paranoid.
Recently, Alcon AIR OPTIX COLORS was launched in the Philippines. During the event, I wore contacts for the first time!!! Of course, someone assisted me to put them on. I really couldn’t do it on my own. Haha!
I’m wearing AIR OPTIX COLORS Sterling Grey on my right eye facing you and Grey on my left eye facing you. I didn’t do this on purpose. Haha! I think the one who assisted me during the event got confused. Well, it’s all good! I think it’s better just to let you see the difference of the colors. 😉
I wore the lenses for more than an hour. (I had to remove them at the end of the event since, again, I’m not so comfortable removing the lenses by myself.) For a first timer, I didn’t feel uncomfortable the entire time I was wearing the lenses. In fact, it was as if I wasn’t wearing anything at all. Since it’s my first time to wear contacts, I don’t have any comparison. I asked others though and they said the feeling of AIR OPTIX COLORS is really different. It’s more comfortable compared to other brands. Even Gretchen Ho, Maxene and Pia Magalona, vouched how comfortable these lenses are.
The difference of AIR OPTIX COLORS from other contact lenses is that it’s made of silicone hydrogel, allowing plenty of oxygen to pass through the contact lenses thereby enhancing comfort. It’s the first silicone hydrogel colored contact lens brand in the market.
AIR OPTIX COLORS are designed to enhance the color of the eyes and can be used with or without eye prescription.
AIR OPTIX COLORS contact lenses are monthly replacement contact lenses and are available in 9 colors, ranging from subtle to vibrant. Subtle colors include pure hazel, blue, green, grey and brown, while vibrant colors include brilliant blue, gemstone green, honey and sterling grey. As you can see from my first photo above, the Sterling Grey looks more striking than the Grey. The subtle colors are perfect for those who want natural-looking eye color.
My personal favorite would be sterling grey. I don’t think I’ll go for a subtle color if I want to change my look. I don’t do this often, so might as well go all out! Haha! Now it’s time to practice putting on lenses. 😉
How about you? What’s your favorite eye color? Dare to change your look through your eye color?
