MAC Fix+ has been around for quite a while now and it has become a cult favorite. To be honest, I just recently got hooked to this product. I initially thought it is just a regular hydrating mist and for someone who has oily skin, I thought I would not really need it. Ooops… I was wrong! Consider me as a semi-newbie to MAC Fix+ but I’m so glad to have discovered this a few months ago! Why? Let me share a few MAC Fix+ hacks and more good news later on…
What is MAC Prep + Prime Fix+
A lightweight mist of water packed with vitamins and minerals, infused with a blend of green tea, chamomile and cucumber to gently soothe and refresh the skin. Gives an instant boost of hydration while delivering a soft sheen to refresh and finish makeup.
How To Use MAC Fix Plus
But more than just being a facial mist, you can use MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ in so many ways!
Set Brows
Dip brush into brow-coloured eye shadow. Then, spray brush with Fix+.
Use Eye Shadow as Eye Liner
Dip brush into desired eye shadow. Spray Fix+ on the brush then line your eyes.
Intensify Eye Shadow
Dip brush into eye shadow. Spray Fix+ to intensify colour payoff then apply.
Intensify Highlighter
This is one of my favorite tricks. Well, first of all, I love highlighters. For me, having beautiful eye makeup is not enough. I find glowing skin more important and highlighter should be our best friend for this. Some highlighters do not show up that much. Don’t throw them just yet because Fix+ can literally “fix” the problem.
Swipe sponge or brush on highlighter. Spray Fix+ on sponge or brush to intensify colour payoff. Then, apply to highlight desired ares.
Sheer Out Liquid Foundation
To sheer out the coverage, mix Fix+ with your favourite liquid foundation. Apply with sponge or brush of your choice.
Achieve Full Coverage using Powder Foundation
If you can sheer out your liquid foundation, you can also achieve full coverage using your powder foundation and Fix+.
Spray MAC Fix+ on brush then dip on your favourite powder foundation.
Retouch
If you feel the need to retouch by midday or at night but you don’t want to pile more makeup as it would look thick and cakey, just spray Fix+ on your face! It refreshes your skin and makeup in an instant.
MAC Fix Plus New Scents
Now, this fan-favourite hydrating mist just got an upgrade! Aside from the original soothing herbal aroma of the MAC Prep + Prime Fix+, it now comes in other scents: romantic Rose, calming Lavender, and creamy Coconut.
I love Lavender scent in general so this is my personal pick aside from the original scent. Try it yourself as all these are now available in MAC counters.
