Yes, yes, yes! Peplum dresses are back! 🙂 Oooh… Don’t you just love the drama? 🙂 The short overskirt equates to instant glamour! It emphasizes the hips and the small waist, giving an illusion of an hourglass figure. You’ll definitely grab the attention of the crowd! Hehehe! 🙂 What I like with these modern day peplum dresses is that they are so girly… so chic… so fun! Thanks to Jeremy Scott, Chrisophe Decarnin, and Marc Jacobs for bringing back peplum dresses in the spotlight.
As seen in the photo above from Who What Wear, celebrities like Rihanna, Diane Kruger, Whitney Port, and Lily Allen are spotted wearing peplum dresses. You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars like them though to get in to this trend. There are a lot of peplum dresses around, from the casual look to the more sophisticated ones- perfect for cocktails. With the variety of styles available in the market, you can definitely find something that works well with your budget and, of course, your body. In fact, when I got home from Bangkok, I was surprised to see how many peplum dresses I hoarded. Waaah! I didn’t realized that until I got home. I will share them to you guys soon. 🙂
