I love ransacking mom’s closet whenever I get the chance to go home. I always find something “new” to salvage. Hehe! Here’s one of her skirts from I-don’t-know-what-year. πŸ™‚

I still remember her wearing this skirt when I was a kid. She used to pair this with a white ruffled top and flats. She’s one of those lucky ladies who can pull off flats with almost anything because of her height. How I wish I got her long legs! Hehe! πŸ˜€

Since the maxi skirt got big floral prints already, I just paired it with a simple white tank top. But to give more life to the whole outfit, I wore a statement necklace and a turban. I know, I’m becoming a fan of turbans already. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel turbans give that magical “umph” in an outfit. πŸ˜€

A maxi skirt/ dress can make you look shorter when not blessed with long legs. This doesn’t mean though that you totally have to turn your back away from it if you’re petite. Just wear it above your belly button and with your trusty heels or wedges. In an instant, you’ll get that illusion of a long silhouette. πŸ˜€
