And from my title itself, yes, it has arrived in my closet! Having this orange box has always been a dream. Who wouldn’t love that BIG, luxe, orange box?! But of course, it’s not all about the box. It’s what’s in it. 😀 😀 😀
To set your expectations straight, it ain’t Queen B (as in the queen of all bags, Birkin). Can’t afford! LOL! In fact, I can’t even see myself buying one ever. I’d rather get something else. I won’t deny. It’s a dream. BUT I’d probably have one if I have overflowing moolah. Haha!
Anyway, I’ve been searching for this Hermes bag for sooo long. When I went to Europe, God knows how much sacrifice I did just to look for this bag. I visited all the Hermes stores in every city I went to- from Rome, to Florence, to Nice, to Madrid, to Barcelona, etc., etc. My mom kept on complaining non-stop. She thought we were wasting our time looking for something that wasn’t available everywhere! Well, true enough, it was no where to be found. I was so desperate, which is why I ended up with this bag.
About two weeks after I arrived, my friend told me that her aunt who just came back from Europe as well is selling this Hermes bag. And to my surprise, it was the bag that I was looking for! OMG! When I saw the color, oh gawd, I die!!! I was so afraid to lose it that it was considered sold after a few days of pondering! Haha! I just felt a little bad since I could have gotten it at a cheaper price. I was already there! Ugh! Well, as I look at my new baby, every bit of that mark up I paid was all worth it! 😀 Anyway, enough of my story. Meet my new baby…
Hermes Herbag in Red Orange
Everything could have been perfect about this bag except for the leather. It can easily get scratched that extra care is a must! Oh, and like the Hermes Kelly or Birkin bags, getting stuff inside the bag can take some effort. Well, the new Herbag may not come with an extra canvas anymore, but what I love about this new one is the little zip pocket at the back. It comes in handy especially for the things (like my phone) that I need every now and then. I don’t have to open the bag that often anymore. 😀 But all these cons can easily be forgotten as I look at the bag… The combination of the dark brown leather and red orange canvas makes my heart melt. 😀 More photos in my next outfit posts to come! 😀

Was thinking that I’ll be gazing at another Birkin until I’ve read the 3rd line.LOL! Nevertheless, it’s an equally beautiful bag. Undeniably Hermes. Simple yet striking. Uncomplicated. Beautiful!
I’m also dreaming of owning a blue version of that, a yellow Evelyne, and yes, an Orange Queen Bee with a hot pink interior and gold hardware (which reminds me, I have to visualize having and wishing for them now!)

knew it! hehe. i like that bag too but was hesitant na it’s mostly canvas… until it was gone na din. but that color is gorgeous. i usually see the black lang and the beige and brown. if that’s the color then thats perfect! 🙂
WOW Cris. Arrive na arrive ka na talaga!!! I’ve also been tempted by this bag before but the leather is very prone to scratches nga and I don’t know if I can take care of it that well. But it really is a beauty especially with the shoulder strap, the color combination and its resemblance to the Kelly. Very good buy =) btw, someone mentioned to me the herbag is discontinued already in all Hermes stores?

@ cris: thank you cris! 😀 yah, mostly canvas nga (which makes arthur hate it so much)! haha! as in everyday he would tell me not to get it until one day he went inside the car and got surprised that there’s a big orange box na. wala na nasabi. haha! well, better for me ‘coz if now lang i need to be super careful with the leather, what more if everything’s leather?! baka display nalang! haha! when i saw the color nga, in love na! it’s so hard to get this color kasi. usually the beige and brown nga avail sa store. 🙂

Btw, from what i know, Herbag is not yet discontinued. I asked all the hermes stores i visited and they have it year round. It’s so happened, almost all stocks of Hermes were wiped out at that time. They said, hopefully they’ll get more stocks for summer. 🙂 I think what they have discontinued is the extra canvas bag that comes with it. The new one is a different design and comes with a small zip pocket at the back. 🙂

Hi Intan! Yes, it’s quite hard to get a Herbag. I have a friend though who recently came from Europe and she was able to get one in dark blue. If I were to choose, I think Herbag is better. But if you prefer an all leather bag, Prada Saffiano is the way to go. In terms of storage too, you can’t put a lot of stuff inside a Herbag so maybe you have to consider that too. 😉
