“Shoe Buffet”- these were the words in MMF’s invite for their launch at C3 Events Place. It was the first time I heard of a “shoe buffet”. Is there even such a thing? Well, I thought it was simply a showcase of the collection of this newest shoe brand in town, MMF. Who would have thought that when they say “shoe buffet”, they really mean it. Just like when you’re eating in a buffet, you just get what you want. Yes, they allowed us to get whatever we want. Sky’s the limit! After hours inside a room full of shoes and packed with fellow shoe-aholics, I went home with all these, as seen in my Instagram post (@lush_angel). Yes, I’ve got very happy feet!!! 😀
To be honest, I wasn’t able to get all of the styles and colors I like. There were a lot of T.D.F. styles (you’ll see what I’m talking about later on), but unfortunately, they ran out of stocks of my size. 🙁 Sorry, please understand that a woman can never have enough shoes. Haha! But hey, take a look at what I’ve got. Since the event, I’ve been wearing different pairs everyday! Haha!
Let me just give you a quick background of the brand first. Why MMF? Ladies, I’m not talking about the annual Metro Manila Film Festival. MMF stands for La Mode Moderne pour le Femmes or in english, modern fashion for women. It’s a brand inspired by the four fashion capitals in the world, namely Paris, Milan, Los Angeles and New York.
MMF is the brainchild of 23-year old Chauntia Chan. A shoe aficionado herself, Chauntia, inspired by her passion for shoes, travel and Carrie Bradshaw, has decided to realize her passion by introducing shoe collections for the woman who just can’t get enough of shoes.
“The MMF woman is a woman of the world,” says Chauntia. “She is always on-the-go, and accustomed to the fast-paced lifestyle. She is opinionated and not scared to express herself. She works hard and likes to reward herself by going out or shopping. She is updated and knows what’s hot and not. She is adventurous and not scared to try out new things. A true shopaholic, she does not let her economic situation affect her passion for fashion.”
Now, shopaholics, fashionistas and shoe-aholics, hold your horses as I share you some photos of her shoe collections.
Flats
Loafers
I was supposed to get those studded loafers (bottom right), but they didn’t have my size anymore. 🙁 I’m still drooling over them! LOL!
Sandals
Oh dear, those metallic sandals would be perfect for summer!!!
Wedges
As an emerging Asian brand, they have a nice mix of classic and trendy pairs. And if you’re wondering, the materials of MMF shoes came from different Asian countries. MMF regular items range from PHP 800 to PHP 2,800++. They also have bags and accessories ranging from PHP 480 to PHP 2,800++.
MMF is also planning to launch their “Private Collection” 4th quarter of 2014. This collection will cater to a more discriminating clientele. It will feature progressive styles in limited quantities and made of genuine leather. Hmmm… sounds interesting, huh?!
Wow, congratulations to MMF and BIG thank you for the extremely fun Shoe Buffet experience! 😀
MMF has stores in Glorietta 2 (2/F) and Lucky Chinatown (3/F) and soon to open in Ayala Fairview Terraces in March 2014. You may also order online. Check out their Facebook and Instagram (MMFpourfemmes).
