No doubt, trendy pieces look nice and fashionable but the classics are those that last forever. They are the keepers since they never go out of style. This is why investing on classics doesn’t hurt. I love mixing trendy and classic pieces, but for today let’s #BeClassic.
What are the wardrobe staples, anyway? Your closet must have the classic white button-down polo, plain tees in neutral colors, cardigan and trousers in classic silhouette. The list can go on and on, but for now let’s stick with the trousers and plain tee.
For this look, I wore a classic white v-neck shirt and black trousers. I kept my accessories classic too. Then, I paired the look with a nude pair of mules. Although mules can be considered trendy, this pair looks like a classic nude pumps. 😉 Honestly, I wasn’t a big fan of mules, especially back in the ’90s. Well, mules now a days look sexier than ever! Haha! It’s great when paired with jeans or mid-length skirts.
You’ll be surprised how a plain white tee can easily be dressed up or down. Going out of town on a lazy weekend? Pair it with jeans or shorts and sneaks or slip-ons. If you want to dress it up a bit, wear a pair of slacks and blazer on top. If you want to make it stylish, you can also wear a statement necklace.
When it gets cold, you can also throw in a classic blazer. Well, I went for something trendy here. Sorry, I couldn’t help it! 😉
