Modern Woman has fruity floral scent, which celebrates Banana Republic’s California heritage – the perfect blend of effortless, chic style that completes the look from head to toe. It embodies a sensual spirit that champions authenticity, modern day adventure and exploration.
It starts with fresh, sparkling notes of Italian Bergamot and Nyphaea Waterlily. The heart has ultra-feminine Sun Goddess Rose petals, a key ingredient and exclusive Robertet specialty that delivers a signature floral impression and dries down to soft, white amber.
I find Modern Woman a little too bold and floral in my initial spray, but I fell in love with its scent after a few minutes. It’s soft and sweet, which is very feminine.
Modern Man, on the other hand, is inspired by a next generation of modern masculinity. The scent is a blend of cool and spicy notes. It opens with a sparkling watery accord and daikon, a first in fine fragrance as the signature. It’s a Japanese radish accord for a fresh and zesty scent. A study in contrast, the signature imparts a clean, modern aromatic top paired with a sensual incense-musky dry down to reflect the multi-faceted aspect of the man.
