In 2011, Benefit Cosmetics launched They’re Real! jet black mascara, which went on to become the #1 Prestige Mascara in US and the #1 Selling Prestige Makeup Item in the UK. Then in 2014, They’re Real! Push-Up Liner in matte black was added to the family, which became the #1 Prestige Eyeliner in the US. It’s probably the easiest gel liner to apply. Last June 25, Benefit Cosmetics Philippines officially launched these colorful new additions to the They’re Real! franchise at Black Sheep in Bonifacio Global City.
The moment I entered the venue, look what suprised me!
Do you recognize at least one of them? Hehe! I’m truly happy and honored to be one of Benefit Cosmetics PH’s They’re Real! GLAMbassadors!
Here I am with fellow GLAMbassadors, Nikki Duque, Czari Domingo, Rima Ostwani, and Janeena Chan, posing beside our portraits, which were photographed by the beautiful and talented Samantha Valenciano. Each of us used different colors of They’re Real liners and mascaras and wore an assortment of FreshLook contact lenses that match our eye makeup. You’ll see more of the shades of the liners and mascaras later on.
Benefit is known to hold fun and unique events. This time, they partnered with Mystery Manila. The program started with a beauty-filled mystery that guests had to solve for a chance to win limited edition Benefit goodies. What made everyone busy? We looked for missing mascaras, solved crossword puzzles, searched secret passwords, and — chitchatted with hunky detectives (haha!) And to get the job done, Rima and I helped each other! LOL! (Hi Rima! It was nice meeting you!)

Then, Benefit Cosmetics PH’s Captain Gorgeous, Brand Manager Donna Shaw formally introduced the stars of the day: the new They’re Real! Mascaras and Eyeliners in rich, wearable shades that are beyond belief! Yes, FINALLY! I can clearly remember how much I wanted the Benefit They’re Real! Push-Up Liner to be available in various colors. In fact, I even mentioned that in my review HERE. Now, wish granted!!!
- Beyond brown mascara and liner: the ultimate brown for a carefree, natural look.
- Beyond blue mascara and liner: bright & sexy for a playful, party mood.
- Beyond purple liner: perfect when you’re feeling frisky.
- Beyond green liner: suits a more daring mood.
I particularly love the black liner and blue mascara combo or blue/ puple/ green liner and black mascara combo. For a fun look, green liner and blue mascara combination works well too!
