Just before I headed to the airport for my Hong Kong flight a few weeks ago, I dropped by Flossy’s event at Glorietta 4 as they launch a new campaign “Live On Your Own Terms”. Despite the fear of being late for my flight, I knew I had to go to this event since I love Flossy! Ever since I learned about the brand, which I shared in this post: Flossy Style From Spain To The Philippines, I’ve been bringing my own pair of Flossy footwear in most of my travels. In fact, in my last trip to Hong Kong, I only brought 2 pairs of footwear with me – my trusty white lace Flossy and my Superjelly FitFlop.
Inspired by the pulse and passion of free-spirited individuals who live life on their own terms, Flossy is a footwear brand that imbibes the quintessential vibe of carefree Ibiza. During the Ibiza-themed event, Flossy presented five key influencers of today’s Filipino youth culture across fields of interest who all embody that fearless attitude towards self-expression and chasing after their dreams. The key influencers will then lead a series of workshops as a means for interested participants to discover and pursue new interests. Among the workshops are ‘Instagram Photography 101’ by burgeoning photographer Jelito De Leon; ‘Fashion Styling’ by stylist-to-the-stars Bea Constantino; ‘Fitness’ by rising athlete and model Jessey de Leon; ‘Fashion Poses 101’ by young up-and-coming model Yanna Cowper; and ‘Music Mash-Up’ to be headed by veteran DJ Nina Saputil. Contest searches will likewise be held for each workshop on Flossy’s Facebook page so be sure to check it out!
I really believe that we should all celebrate our individuality. Let’s not just do something because it’s the “norm”. We should never be afraid to pursue our own passions. Agree???
