A year older, hopefully wiser, and definitely more grateful… This post is more than a week late, but better late than never. Honestly, I was really pondering on what my birthday post should be. I just ended up posting on my Instagram account (@lush_angel) since I feel I have nothing much to say. Haha! But today, I feel like talking about birthdays and aging so here it is…
What is it like to be 34? I don’t think there’s much difference on how it felt when I was 33. Probably, it’s just harder to type 3-4 because it comes with a reminder that “hey, you’re 34 years old!” LOL!
Kidding aside, I never really dwelled on my age. As they say, age is just a number. What matters most for me is how I live my life– how happy I am, how contented I am, and how I learned from previous mistakes. Contrary to others, there’s nothing to be sad about aging. Yes, there my be lines and creases, but I think they’re beautiful. They are evidences of happiness, laughter, and even the challenges I’ve conquered. Aging is a privilege that has been denied to many; therefore, it’s something I should be thankful for. That being said, thank you, I made it to 34!
Although I’m thankful for another year, it doesn’t mean I have to look sloppy, right? Sharing my birthday lewk here. Nothing really special. I just made sure to wear red (because of Chinese tradition) and go for an almost bare faced.
