H20 Plus is a relatively new skincare brand here in the Philippines and to my fellow oily-skinned ladies (and gents), rejoice! H20 Plus products have water-based formulas containing marine botanicals that deeply hydrate, protect and revitalize the skin. Some of you may have heard about H20 Plus or some may have seen it in other countries. It has been around since 1989, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, and it develops, manufactures and markets marine-based skin care products for the face and body.
For almost a month, I was able to try some of their products. I even brought my travel size kit with me during my Japan trip a few weeks ago since I noticed it was perfect for the hot summer weather. The entire regimen didn’t make my oily skin even more greasy. The products didn’t cause me breakouts or allergic reactions. Here’s a rundown of the H2o products I’ve tried and my experience with them.
Face Oasis Dual-Action Exfoliating Cleanser – PHP 1,750.00 (120 mL / 4 U.S. Fl oz)
Deeply cleanses and revitalizes skin with a gently refining, oil-free formula. An exfoliating fusion of fruit enzymes and algae helps sweep away dull surface cells, leaving skin luminous and ready to receive maximum moisture.
I find the jojoba beads very gentle on the skin. It doesn’t cause me breakouts as well. I usually get breakouts when I use exfoliating cleansers. I also noticed how it leaves my skin soft and smooth after washing. Plus, it doesn’t dry out my face completely.
Aquafirm+ Micro-Collagen Moisturizer – PHP 3,500.00 (50 mL / 1.7 Fl oz)
This silky firming cream visibly fights fine lines and loss of firmness with collagen-boosting moisture
Oh dear, I’m in love with this moisturizer! The cream is really silky. It doesn’t feel greasy or sticky- perfect even for those with oily skin. It’s lightweight and it’s absorbed by my skin easily. It might not be enough though if you have extremely dry skin. If there’s one drawback, it would probably be the price, which is quite steep.
Sea Results Eye Mender Plus – PHP 2,590.00 (15 mL / 0.5 Fl oz)
A rejuvenating contour cream tailored to reduce under-eye puffiness and wrinkles, delivers a virtual matrix of penetrating hydration through the new Marine Micropatch Technology. Experience a 22% decrease in wrinkle depth and 19% increase in skin firmness with 28 days of continued use.
I couldn’t vouch if it can actually decrease wrinkle depth or increase skin firmness as I don’t really have deep wrinkles. But I noticed how my eyes look well-rested when I use this. My skin around my eyes also feels very moisturized.
Dual-Action Eye Makeup Remover – PHP 1,330.00 (12mL/ 4 FL oz)
Suitable for all skin types, this dual-action cleanser, formulated specifically for the sensitive eye area, effectively and effortlessly dissolves and lifts away stubborn make-up. Using Cyclomethicone technology to blend with water and break down the bonds of color cosmetics, this product cleanses gently but effectively. The dual-phased formulation leaves skin cleansed and hydrated. Safe for contact lens wearers, it also works to naturally condition lashes.
This eye makeup remover can really remove even waterproof mascaras or liners quickly. It’s sensitive enough that I don’t feel any sting around my eye area when I use it. It’s not drying too, unlike makeup removers with alcohol.
H2o Plus has indeed very promising products. So far, everything I’ve tried from them worked well on my oily skin! Oh, and do you know that H2o Plus ranks among the top skincare brands in the Asia market? 😉
