For those who are not aware, Deborah Lippmann is the go-to manicurist for the most fashionable magazines, renowned fashion houses and A-list celebrities- from Vogue to Vanity Fair, from Donna Karan to Versace, from Sarah Jessica Parker to Penelope Cruz. After years in the industry, she realized the need for a diverse range of nail colors and luxury care products, which was not easily available in the market. Then, a luxury line of lacquers and treatments for nails was born.
This was my first time to try a Deborah Lippmann nail polish. I got this lovely shade, Call Me Irresponsible. My first impression when I saw the bottle- it’s like an ordinary dark violet nail polish. I was wrong. Surprisingly, it appears lighter when applied on the nails. In fact, it was too light that my nail tech had to apply 3 coats to achieve this shade. It was quite hard to get an even color. But even my nail tech couldn’t stop praising the gorgeous shade of Call Me Irresponsible, despite being lighter than what it appears in the bottle. I love it and honestly, I think it’s nothing like it! The 3 coats of Deborah Lippmann Call Me Irresponsible resulted to a unique purple shade of nail polish! 😀
Since the nail tech applied 3 coats of polish, I already anticipated that it will chip right away. Another surprising report here- today is exactly my 6th day wearing this polish. No retouch was done and I frequently wash my hands with soap and water. Guess what?! My nail polish hasn’t chipped at all. I can just see the growth of my nails! Whoa! Yes, amazing! 😀 Now I believe why Deborah Lippmann nail lacquer is also known to be long lasting!
Oh, and another great thing about Deborah Lippmann products is that all of them are enriched with treatment benefits and free of formaldehyde, toluene, and DBP. No animal testing was done too.
