Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5 Zip Review

As promised in my OOTD: Bluer Than Blue post, here’s a feature of my newest baby. Well, it’s not really a big purchase. It’s probably just very unusual for me to be carrying a small bag while the sun is still up. There are so much things that I feel I always need to bring, hence, I prefer huge bags. This is the reason why I never really got tempted to purchase a Rebecca Minkoff clutch. Well, of course, I’ve laid my eyes on it. Who wouldn’t? It’s so popular that even Hollywood celebs has it. Yes, I fell in love with it, but my urge to purchase one wasn’t enough for me not to sleep. LOL! In case you don’t know, if I really, really want a purse, I think about it all throughout the day. I tend to dream about it every single night until I get hold of it. Yes, I think I’m indeed a bagaholic. Haha! Anyway, back to this baby. I was just browsing through the bags of Zalora when I came across this purse. I didn’t know they actually carry some Rebecca Minkoff stuff! And to my surprise, most of the Rebecca Minkoff bags were almost 50% off! So, I didn’t think twice and just purchased this Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5 Zip in green. 😀

When I started using it, I realized it could actually hold a lot of my essentials- more than what I can put inside my Chanel 2.55 Medium Flap bag. This is why I’m sooo in love with it now that I use it most of the time. I can put my long and bulky Balenciaga wallet, lipstick, compact, phone and car keys in it.

Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5 Zip has 5 zippers, but only 3 are functional, as seen below.

And the third is the first zip. The next two are just zippers, but no compartments.

Small bags with gold hardware are usually associated to less casual looks. I really love how those long tassels add ruggedness to the bag. They can easily be removed too if I’m going for a more formal vibe.

The gold hardware also adds elegance to the purse and goes very well with the vibrant green color.

It has very soft leather though, which means it can easily get dented.

 There are several ways to carry it. You can use it as a shoulder bag, cross body bag, or as a clutch. The chain strap can easily be detached. 😀

So, how do you like it? Now, I’m thinking of getting other colors or go for Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac! 😀
