Guerlain isn’t all about their famous Meteorites. It’s also known for its fragrances. A few months ago Guerlain promised that La Petite Robe Noire would become the timeless must-have in women’s wardrobes all over the world. Today, it’s now “mission accomplished” as Guerlain La Petite Robe Noir is back with a new addition to its line – La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum Couture.
Recently, I, together with fellow beauty bloggers, attended its launch at Guerlain’s pop-up store in SM Aura. We first played a game to discover which scent best suits our personality.
At the end of the game, my answers were mostly letter B. When revealed what perfume is behind B, my personality actually suits the new La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum Couture. 😀 And what does that mean? Let me tell you more about the La Petite Robe Noire scents below.
La Petite Robe Noire comes in Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, and Eau de Couture. To distinguish one from another, each bottle has an illustration of a LBD (Little Black Dress). Why LBD? Because it’s a fact that every woman has one or more LBD in her wardrobe. Guerlain offers a dressing room of unique models, between Haute Couture and Haute Parfumerie. Every woman can now wear a different fragrance/dress depending on her style, her mood, her choice, the occasion, etc.
La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Toilette
A strapless dress that’s delicate and twirling. The fresh floral fragrance, which has cherry, rose, and white musk, is perfect for the cheerful and playful lady.
La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum
A parisian dress that’s chic and timeless. This fruity floral fragrance has black cherry, black rose, and black tea. The scent speaks of the elegant and feminine.
La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Parfum Couture
The long asymmetric dress that’s for the glamorous, assertive, and chic.
On its top notes is raspberry, which combines with bergamot bergamot to create an opening harmony that is fruity, sparkling, fresh and bright, not sweet. The middle notes pay tribute to the rose. The woody trail then intensifies and Patchouli emerges accompanied by moss, vetiver and Tonka bean.
So, what scent best suits your personality? 😀
Before the event ended, another activity was held. Each of us was assigned to a specific scent and asked us to interpret it through makeup. We were all given models. I was tasked to do Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Eau de Toilette.
We were free to use all the makeup displayed in their counters.
Here I am with my model. I wasn’t able to take a before photo. Ooops! 🙁
Anyway, I opted for a natural “barely there” makeup look since, as said earlier, Eau de Toilette is for the playful and cheerful lady. It has the lightest scent among the three so it would be perfect even for day time. I focused on achieving a healthy glowing skin by using BB cream and Meteorites. I used beige tones of eye shadows and lipstick. For a natural flush, I applied cream blush.
And for those who are following me on Instagram (@lush_angel), you’ve probably seen the result of this challenge. I won the Eau de Toilette makeup look, while Martha Sta. Barbara and Dior Co won the Eau de Parfum and Eau de Parfum Couture, respectively! WOOT! 😀 😀 😀 The makeup looks we did are displayed in Guerlain counters, so if you want to try any of the looks, their friendly SA’s would gladly do it for you. 😉
Here are some photos during the fun event! 😀
