OOTD: How To Wear Polo From Day To Night

For some, wearing a polo shirt can be a little bit too casual for a dinner setting. Here’s an outfit inspiration on how to wear polo from day to night.

I wore this last weekend in Tagaytay. My friends and I tried this new Filipino restaurant, Balay Dako owned by Antonio’s. Food is so-so. Well, how can you go wrong with Filipino food – Bulalo, Kare-Kare, Laing, and Crispy Pata. It’s a little bit pricier though compared to its competitors in Tagaytay. But I have to give it to the rustic feel and ambiance, especially in the lounge area. In fact, I wanted to stay there all day!

Honestly, I’m seldom seen wearing a polo shirt but when I do, I usually pair it with jeans or shorts. But how about pairing it with a lace pastel skirt? Preppy and dainty do not seem to go well together, right? But it could actually dress up the look in an instant.

Polo is a fashion staple that you can take from work to play and from day to night. I’m using here the Memo Owl Polo. Memo has been known for its clean lines and classic styles. Recently, they launched a young and game-changing product line of polos to suit the modern, stylish, and confident men and women. They come in basic colors and printed variations, accented with colorful tipping and a unique gingham check inside the collar.

It was a sunny hot day in Tagaytay last weekend, but it’s a good thing that the material of the polo is cool to the skin, which is perfect for our tropical weather.

Choosing the right accessories is also crucial if you want a day to night look. I used a small crossbody bag, which can also be held like a clutch at night. I also made sure to wear bracelet with gold hardware and a two-tone watch instead of a casual timepiece. As for the footwear, you can wear heels to dress up the look even more. Since it was an out of town trip for me, I picked a dressy pair of flat sandals.
