Earlier today, the long-awaited Apple Watch arrived at Power Mac Center, the premier Apple partner in the Philippines.
The launch was held at Power Mac Center’s flagship store in Greenbelt 3. The entire store was covered with white cloth, while all of us waited outside. The anticipation of avid Apple fans was undeniable. Obviously, I was one of them. A few minutes later, the unveiling happened and everyone rushed to the long table where the Apple watches were displayed.
The Apple Watch comes in three models: the aluminum Apple Watch Sport, the stainless steel Apple Watch, and the solid gold Apple Watch edition.

There are also two sizes: 42mm and 38mm. Although I’m a huge fan of oversized watches, I think I’ll go for the 38mm for the Apple Watch, considering its shape. It sits comfortably on my small wrist.
As seen below, there’s a full range of straps and bands in stainless steel, leather, and fluoroelastomer, which can also be easily interchanged.
You can further inject your personality on your Apple Watch through its face, which can be customized in a lot of ways – traditional analog, animated butterflies and jellyfish, and information-rich modes.
You might wonder, what’s the Apple Watch Edition? It is crafted from custom rose or yellow 18-karat gold alloys and it is available exclusively at Power Mac Center Greenbelt 3. Those who want to try it on may arrange an appointment and be assisted by Apple Watch Experts deployed in-store. By the way, this Apple Watch Edition costs roughly around PHP 900,000. Now, you know why an appointment for this special watch is needed. Honestly, I was shaking a bit when I held it. Haha!
During the launch, we were invited in an unboxing session.
There was a mini tutorial too to let us fully experience the watch.
I was lucky enough to try it on my wrist and to get a feel of how to use it. For someone who cannot hear the phone when someone calls or sends a message (ummm… that’s me!), it’s really a must-have wearable technology – especially if you always expect important messages. Since the Apple Watch is connected to your phone, you can easily view key notifications like call, text, and email alerts.
You can even control your phone’s camera!
This unique timepiece also has integrated health and fitness apps, which can track all your physical activity. It’s something I need these days to encourage me to keep on moving!
The Apple Watch is definitely for everyone – the working professionals, the fitness entusiasts, and the fashionistas. I’m personally eyeing on the stainless steel. The bracelet is so adorable! Agree???
Anyway, if you’re planning to get an Apple Watch, it’s available at Power Mac Center Greenbelt 3 and TriNoma starting today, October 23, 2015. Price starts at PHP 19,990 for Apple Watch Sport.
