Who loves Instagram??? (I’m raising my hand) Through our mobile phones, we have probably become the best documented generation in the course of history. We take photos of almost everything! And for me, the best photos are the picturesque views from all over the world. This is Herschel Supply’s inspiration when they launch their City Limitless campaign.
City Limitless is a detail-oriented content series that utilizes photography and insight provided by members of the Herschel Supply Co. community to celebrate unique design stories from cityscapes around the world. In the series, local architecture, beautiful spaces, side streets, and aerial views capture the urban culture that brings each city to life.
This campaign was introduced in early 2015 as #CityLimitless on Instagram. It now lives as a content series on the Herschel Supply Co. blog and features dynamic cityscapes from places such as Tokyo, Rome, and New York. The hashtag #CityLimitless has successfully established itself in the Instagram community with over 90,000 photos tagged in less than a year since its conception.
Last October 22, 2015, Herschel’s very own co-founder and managing director Lyndon Cormack went to Manila to personally introduce the #CityLimitless campaign in celebration of our cities’ shapes, sights and vibes. He artfully shared his travel experiences and showcased his photos taken from iconic places in Manila.
Alongside Lyndon Cormack were three local progressive photographers and notable Instagrammers Jelito de Leon, Marvin Conanan and Aaron Quinto whose works of art have also been put on view. Manila’s inimitable charm showed in each of their photos, which emphasized exquisite details that captured the city’s underestimated, yet undeniable beauty.
The event was an artistic expression and perfect example of Herschel Supply Co.’s fine regard for detail. Looking through the gallery, it’s amazing how one can find hidden gems wherever, even in the busy streets of Manila!
During the event, Herschel Supply Co. also launched their Fall 2015 collection.
In this collection, they introduced a uniquely crafted women’s line – an elegant selection that is both flattering and functional. Select materials like lustrous lightweight nylon, cotton canvas and reflective ripstop refine this season’s signature silhouettes.
Season prints include the whimsical Feather, Rain Drop Camo, and wildflower Ruby in Khaki and Burnt Coral, while tonal silhouettes are enhanced with diagonally color blocked rubber accents. Inspired by bountiful vineyards, rich and luscious Windsor Wine joins the range of Fall hues, along with the dramatic Deep Ultramarine, drawing from the eternal blue of an ocean dream.
