In case you still haven’t noticed, black, white and grey are always part of my staples. They go well with any color or if I can’t decide on what print or color to wear, I just mix any of these neutrals or simply pick one. They always turn out simple, clean, and elegant. For this look, I went for grey and black.
I paired my black pleated skirt with a flowy top. I’ve always loved pleats! This detail looks very sophisticated and feminine. It’s both sexy and conservative. It can even hide figure issues – with the right fabric and size of pleats.
I used a navy blue bag to add a little color in this look. A nice pair of pumps would be perfect, but since I was just out for shopping, I made sure to wear flats that night. It’s bluish-grey, which blended well with my outfit. Oh, and these are foldable – great for travel or simply tote it around and slip them on as you run around in between meetings.

I always say to go for your trusty LBD if you need an outfit that could go from day to night. Well, this is one example of not your usual LBD, yet looks great for a day and night look – without the need to change. Don’t you think? 😉
