As promised in my previous post, Achieving Healthy Glow with Chanel Les Beiges, I’m sharing a step-by-step tutorial on how I achieved this natural, glowing makeup look. The key to this is that skin should look well-hydrated and plumped. Using natural and fresh colors is a must as well. Here are the steps on how to do this Healthy Glow Makeup Look:
Step 1: Prep
Prepping the skin is very important, but it is usually the most neglected step. Start with a cleansed, toned and moisturized face. Dry patches should not make an appearance, therefore, make sure skin is very hydrated.
Step 2: Base
For this look, I used Chanel Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer. As the name implies, it is a moisturizer to deliver all day hydration. You can read more about this tinted moisturizer and how it gives luminous glow, in this post: Achieving Healthy Glow with Chanel Les Beiges.
Since Les Beiges Sheer Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer has sheer coverage, I used Bobbi Brown Instant Full Cover Concealer for my under eyes and blemishes. I then set the concealer with a translucent powder, which I also used on my t-zone. I used Etude House Zero Sebum Drying Powder as my setting powder to help control oil. Tinted moisturizers can be a little oily for some, especially after wearing it for a few hours, so a matte powder can help. I avoided dusting this on my cheekbones though for a natural, glowing look.
Step 3: Color
For a natural flush, I used Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick N°25 on the apples of my cheeks. To set the cream blush and to make it longer lasting, I dusted Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Luminous Multi-Colour Powder in Medium on top. Since the Multi-Colour Powder has very tiny shimmers, my cheeks are extra glowing minus the greasy look. I also like how the orangey shades on this powder added “freshness” to this look.
I also used Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Lip Balm in Light for a soft sheer color on my lips.
Step 4: Brows and Eyes
A natural look isn’t complete without well-groomed brows and wide-awake eyes.
I used L’Oreal Brow Artist Pomade to define and fill in my brows and MAKE UP FOR EVER Brow Gel for a softer look.
For my eyes, I just applied a thin line of dark brown K-Palette Liquid Eyeliner. I curled my lashes and used MAC Bold and Bad Mascara.
And that’s it! What do you think of this makeup look?
