Last April 5, I attended the SM Beauty Ball at Makati Shangri-la. It’s the first ever event to honor makeup experts for their contribution to the beauty industry.
I thought of going for a sultry makeup look that night, which is totally different from my usual makeup. If you noticed, I’m all for the fresh, natural look. I find it young, simple yet captivating. But since I was in an all black gown, why not go all out? I wanted my eyes to pop.
This is what I requested Mel Bacani, M.A.C certified makeup-artist. Yup, I had my makeup done on this special day. I would normally do my own makeup, but despite being a makeup artist, I still like the feeling of being glammed up by someone every now and then. It was a full day for me too. I had to run from one event to another, so before going to the SM Beauty Ball, it was just perfect to sit down and relax while Mel did my makeup.
I already gave her heads up on my oily skin and dry lips, so she made sure to prep my skin. These are the products that Mel used:
It was my first time to try MAC Prep+Prime Skin Refined Zone Treatment. It instantly mattifies the skin once applied. Well, it really helped in keeping oil at bay.
And for the rest of my face, these are all the products used on me…
For my face…
For my brows…
I found a new favorite Brow Set shade – Red Chestnut! I normally use Girl Boy or Beguile.
Now, let’s zoom in to my sultry eyes. She used paint pots as primer. Then, she used Redhead Brow Duo as powder eye shadow and Sketch (burgundy shade). Ricepaper was used on my brow bone area.
For my lips, I opted for a nude pink shade.
That’s it! Thank you, Mel for my perfect sultry makeup look that night!
Sorry for the bad lighting…
