Oh dear, the day has come! The most awaited concert of the year happened last Sunday, November 16. And what can I say??? I’m left speechless… ummm… yeah, that’s what I can say… I’m speechless. It’s so hard to describe but I will really try to make a post here!
So we went to Fort Bonifacio around 5:00pm. I thought we were already running late since my friends have been calling and texting me about how much people were already in Fort. My two good friends, Carla and Arvin, were in fact in High Street already by 2:00pm!!! On our way to Fort, I was so nervous already- thinking of the traffic going there, plus the availability of parking slots! I was so ready to park at the office and walk all the way to the venue. But good thing, traffic wasn’t bad and we were still able to get a slot just behind Friday’s! Yay! So we ate dinner first at Friday’s, which by the way was jam packed! Actually, all restaurants in High Street were jam packed! High Street suddenly became a BIG marketplace!!! The number of people was totally unbelievable! I have never seen the place that crowded! But anyway, after eating, which was around 7:30pm, we headed to the venue. The line for silver was sooooo looooong! Yeah, just imagine how long that was! Good thing there was no line for the gold section. The gold was actually divided into two. We chose the one after the platinum section, of course. And we were very, very lucky since we were the last people allowed to get in that section! Whew!
While we were waiting for the concert to start, we sat on the ground first. Of course we had to save our energy since we thought that’s two hours of concert… meaning two whole hours of standing…..and dancing. 🙂 When the lights of the stage started to open, everyone started shouting. But it was just a false alarm… Hahaha! But the wait did not last long… if the concert is scheduled to start at 8:00pm, it began around 8:20pm. I’m impressed! Well, you know how late concerts start here in the Philippines. LOL!
The first part of the show was Chris Brown. His moves were so amazing! I say, he is definitely a performer! But his voice was somehow husky probably because he came from different concerts already. Well, it was well compensated with his dance moves… and his body, as seen below. LOL!
After an hour of performance of Chris Brown, there was a 30 minute break to prepare the stage for Rihanna and of course, time to rest for the people. But the audience was surprised in the middle of the break! There was a spectacular fireworks display which lasted quite long.
After several minutes of waiting, Rihanna showed up in a very sexy outfit and started singing! Oh, I sooo love her!!! I honestly thought less of her as a performer because I know for a fact that she doesn’t dance like Chris B. But when she did her sexy moves and dramas on stage, all I can say is she is one hell of a performer too! And her real voice is so the same when she sings in her CDs. It’s really a WOW! I especially love it when she was shouting “Manila…”. In fact, it is not even shouting! She was like singing! Geeesh, such magical and powerful voice! Whenever she says “Manila”, I really get goose bumps. Yeah, that beautiful!
And as for the last song, of course Rihanna sang Umbrella. Oh, actually it was Cinderella! Chris B. went back on the stage and sang with her. Everybody went wild! And some of the audience even opened their umbrellas! Hahaha!
The concert ended around 11:00pm. It was definitely one hell of an experience! Imagine, 60,000 people were there to watch both Chris B. and Rihanna. It’s really two concerts for the price of one. If I had only known that the concert would be this amazing, I would have bought the platinum tickets. I’d say it is the best concert I have ever seen in my entire life! Truly a WOW experience! 🙂
I love Rihanna. her song entitled Umbrella is my favorite song. she is also a very beautiful singer, it is bad to know that she got an abusive boyfriend.
i love the voice of Rihanna and her style of music. she is also a very sexy and beautiful singer just like Mariah Carey.
