So Paul the Octopus was damn right that Spain would win against Germany! Argh! I should have trusted him and placed my bet for Spain. LOL! For those of you who haven’t seen his prediction, check out the video below.

Now, isn’t that freaky?! Can someone please explain to me the connection between an octopus and football? Sorry, I just can’t understand how can Paul accurately predict the winners. It is amazing! Well, at the same time, disturbing! LOL! What is happening to the world??? Imagine, an octopus predicting the outcome of the FIFA World Cup games! Seriously, I am puzzled right now!

For those of you who haven’t heard of Paul the Octopus, let me just give you his brief background. Paul is a two-year old octopus, who was born in England but raised in Germany. As seen in the video, he picks a mussel out of a container, which is marked with a team’s flag. Whatever he chooses is said to be his prediction on who will win the match. According to the owners of this octopus, he has a record of predicting Germany’s games. For 2010 World Cup, Paul’s predictions have been 100% accurate so far- Germany’s wins over Australia, Ghana, England, Argentina and Spain and it’s loss to Serbia. Now, isn’t that amazing? As to how Paul does that, well it still remains his secret! Hehehe! πŸ™‚

So if you wanna place bets on the upcoming matches, better check with Paul the Octopus first! πŸ™‚ By the way, don’t get me wrong. I’m not promoting gambling here! Not at all! If you will be placing bets, make sure it is just for fun. You should have control of yourself. Don’t keep on betting, hoping you would win big time just so you can pay your debts. You should know when to stop. And of course, you shouldn’t put your life in danger! It’s commonsense! We should always remember that there’s no easy way of earning money in this world. If some have succeeded, it is just pure luck. BUT luck ain’t always on our side guys! So, so, so don’t trust Mr. Octopus that much! Oh, and did I mention that he can also makes mistakes? In the 2008 European Championship, he chose Germany against Spain, but it turned out Spain won the match. So there, just a piece of advice my dear readers. πŸ˜‰

So will Paul the Octopus predict accurately the winner of the third place game? Will he pick Uruguay or Germany? Hmmm… Well, Lush Angel still believes in Germany. LOL! πŸ™‚ And the ultimate question, will Paul be able to predict the champion of the 2010 FIFA World Cup? Is he going to pick the mussel inside the jar with the Spanish flag again? Or will he find the Netherlands flag more attractive? Hehehe! Ummm… My opinion? I hate to say this, but I think it’s gonna be Netherlands. We’ll see… I might have the powers of the octopus this time! LOL! πŸ™‚
