Cropped Pants For The Petite

Who said cropped pants are only for those who are blessed with long and lean legs? I’m not tall, but I love wearing cropped trousers. When I’m tired of wearing the usual long pants, I just fold it for a new and stylish look. It can also give a casual and laid back vibe to the whole outfit. Trust me, simply folding your trousers can make a difference. 😉 I know a lot of petite girls who are not so comfortable wearing cropped pants though, especially those slouchy loose-fitted pants. Well, thinking about it, it can make legs look shorter. But contrary to popular belief, petite girls can actually pull off those slouchy cropped pants without looking really short. Heels can do all the trick! Remember, those added inches can magically make legs longer and slimmer. 😉

I’ve been loving those slouchy, loose-fitted, pleated, cropped pants (too much adjectives just for pants! lol!). I know, it’s not something new. In fact, it has been part of the runway several seasons back. It’s just that I’ve been wearing trousers these days, especially with the unusual cold weather here in Manila. I’ve been avoiding shorts and dresses when I know I’d be outdoors most of the time. Here’s something I wore when I went to Tagaytay for a dinner. It’s really cold these days in Tagaytay. I love it! 😀 But yeah, I’m not even wearing a cardigan/ cover-up here. LOL! Having a cold weather in the Philippines happens once in a blue moon so I better make the most out of it. I really wanna feel the cool breeze! Haha! 😀

I thought of wearing a plain tee that day. Time to go back to the basics! Let the stylish trousers speak for itself! 😀

Can you see those pair of shoes? The 5-inch heels should make my legs longer, despite the loose-fitted cropped trousers that I’m wearing! 😉

So as not to look too plain, I just wore a long vintage necklace, a leather studded bracelet, a gold cuff and several huge rings. As I always say, accessorize is the key to give that “oomph” in an outfit! 🙂

And to give some color to the entire look, I used my red earrings and my Giant City in Pomegranate.
