There are a lot things I want to highlight in this outfit, hence the title. Hehe! I wore this during my aunt’s birthday dinner. Chinese tradition says, we must wear red. Although there are a lot of occasions that I need to wear red, for some reason, I don’t have much reds in my closet. Weird! Anyway, let’s go to the details of this look.
Highlight #1: Shorts
It was not really a formal dinner, so I just thought of wearing shorts. But the gold detail of the shorts doesn’t look casual at all, isn’t it?
Who said shorts are too casual? It all depends on what you pair with it. In this outfit, I went for chiffon long sleeves, high heels, and gold accessories.
Highlight #2: Alex and Ani
I’m also wearing the bangle given by Alex and Ani. It’s a Star of Venus charm bracelet, which symbolizes love, beauty and inspiration.
Highlight #3: D&G Sunnies
I love these new sunnies from Dolce & Gabbana! I went home with this pair during my last visit at Eye Society, Jupiter. If you’ve noticed my posts on Instagram (@lush_angel) last week, I think I flooded my account with some of my sunglasses picks during that visit. The Fall-Winter 2013 collection is just so gorgeous that I couldn’t have only ONE favorite. LOL! Sorry, you know me… I have sunglasses addiction and I admit it. LOL! I’ll share more about the Fall-Winter 2013 collection in a separate post. You can also follow @luxuryeyewearph on Instagram and drool on those gorgeous sunnies!
Highlight #4: Highlights
Last but not the least, I just want to highlight my highlights. LOL! I know this should be an OOTD post, but whether you like it or not, hair is always part of the overall look. Haha! Well, I also couldn’t stop adoring my new hair color. I was supposed to share about my new hair in a different post but when I saw the outfit shots, I couldn’t help but notice my hair. Haha! Don’t worry, I’m still sharing about the details of my hair soon. I’m just too excited to let you guys see what it has become.
I used to have highlights when I was in college. I even had 3 to 4 colors then. I decided to give my hair a rest a few years back, especially when I had to do several shoots. But then, I guess first love never dies- take note, only when it comes to hair! LOL! 😀 I even went back to my hair stylist during my college days. Fred Penales of Hairshaft Salon is the man! He still never fails to surprise me! 😀 Anyway, I’m posting more about my hair and my man soon. For now, let me just show off Fred’s wonderful work. Please understand, it has been a while since I felt extremely happy and satisfied with my hair’s current color and condition. Hehe! 😀
*Fred juggles his time at Hairshaft Fort and Hairshaft Podium. For reservations, call (02) 638 2040 or (0917) 833 0822. You can also follow his Instagram account @hairshaftfred to see his works.
