“ESSENCE Collection is defined by women to inspire women,” said PANDORA’s Chief Creative Officer, Stephen Fairchild. He added that in coming up with this product line, he challenged the Design Team to create a new concept that has a different overlying theme – something that depicts not of moments but of meanings.
Pandora Essence Collection features a slender sterling silver bracelet with an accompanying assortment of 24 delicate hand-finished sterling charms, each representing a personal value. These charms which includes passion, freedom, hope, happiness, confidence, faith, health, peace, compassion, trust, stability, energy, love, courage, wisdom, wellness, prosperity, loyalty, positivity, balance, respect, joy, honesty and strength, slide effortlessly onto the Essence Collection bracelet, and are secured in place with the innovative patent pending flexible silicone grip built inside the sterling silver core of each charm.
Each charm is truly unique as it is engraved with a personal value and created with symbolic stones, colours, patterns and finishes. Some charms are adorned with gemstones in faceted and smooth cuts, as they relate to gemstone tradition, while other charms are decorated with the ever popular cubic zirconia for an elegant, sparkling look. For charms representing freedom, health, honesty, respect, wellness and wisdom, these are crafted with sterling silver designs, which is well-loved for its bright and reflective appearance.
The moment I posted my bracelet and charm on my Instagram account (@lush_angel), I received a lot of messages from friends who collect Pandora charms. They instantly fell in love with the new slender bracelet and of course, the charms! You can wear it in different ways, depending on your style. You can have just one charm, two alternating charms, one kind of charm in a number of pieces, or various charms in one bracelet. It’s all up to you. I’m planning to add more to complement my Prosperity charm.
During the launch of the Pandora Essence Collection, they also introduced the four women of true essence- Amina Aranaz-Alunan, Atty. Karen Jimeno-McBride, Kim Jones, and Lisa Macuja-Elizalde. They revealed the stories of their lives through the values that shaped them into being the women they are.

For Amina Aranaz-Alunan, prosperity is having a dream, a goal, a vision, and being joyful while working to achieve it. Since she was a child, she already knew she would be part of the fashion industry. She pursued her dream by studying fashion design in Milan, followed by the birth of School of Fashion and the Arts (SOFA). Amina also shares her prosperity through her foundation, Rags to Riches, giving her creativity and design deeper meaning.
Atty. Karen Jimeno-McBride comes from a family of prominent lawyers. Atty. Karen Jimeno defines wisdom as “acknowledging that you don’t know everything. It means you are always open to learning and continually growing”. Coupled with wisdom is Karen’s innate ability to have courage. Karen says “Courage is not the absence of fear but it’s taking that fear and overcoming it in order to do the right thing even if you’re criticized and also to do what needs to be done.” Courage plays a big role in her line of work, as well as the advocacies she chooses.
Kim Jones moved from Australia to the Philippines and now is a TV host, model and fashion blogger. She has blossomed to be an independent, strong woman, grounded in faith and having a deeper appreciation of love and happiness. “For me, love is eternal. It is a universal language, and nurtures us and allows us to grow by doing things that we are passionate about,” says Kim. She also puts equal importance to faith as part of her life. For her, faith is the firm foundation under everything worth living, and without it, she wouldn’t be the woman she is today. “I believe that love and faith work hand in hand. These values influence me in making decisions,” she says.
With determination, discipline and dedication seen in more than 30 years of her glorious life as prima ballerina, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde has clearly defined passion. “Passion is dance, it’s my commitment and my intense love for classical ballet which is the strictest form of dance,” Lisa indicates.
