Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great time celebrating new year with family and friends. Brand new year means a new beginning and a fresh start. Wishing everyone peace, prosperity and good health!!! đ
For my first post for 2015, let me start with something I really love. I’ve been meaning to share my review about this, but I always forget to take photos of my makeup. Ooops.. my bad! I’ve been using this palette ever since I got it last October 2014. I first shared about this in my Happy Skin Holiday Collection 2014 + New Products with Swatches and Prices post and the ladies got really excited with Happy Skin’s first ever eyeshadow palette, named as All Eyes On Hue. Know why I consider it as one of the go-to eyeshadow palettes I own here in my Happy Skin Eye Shadow Review. Read on.
Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette Product Information
This eyeshadow palette features Argan Oil which helps color glide on smoothly, effortlessly, and evenly. Touted as “liquid gold,” Argan Oil superbly nourishes the delicate eye area, too. Fade-resistant and crease-resistant, color doesn’t settle into fine lines helping make mature or tired eyes look younger & brighter than they really are. Eyeshadows are so wonderfully pigmented, a little goes a long way and you achieve expert looking eyes in just one sweep.
Happy Skin Eyeshadow Palette Swatch
from left to right: Oatmeal, Biscuit, Hazelnut, Espresso
Oatmeal– champagne shimmer; perfect to use as highlighter on the brow bone area and inner corners of the eyes or as a wash of color on the lids
Biscuit– matte pinkish shade; can be used as a base all over the lids
Hazelnut– bronze shimmer, which I love to use as a finishing touch on the center of the lids
Espresso– chocolate coffee shade; perfect shade for the crease or to create smoky eyes
I love Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette because…
- it comes in a magnetic carton packaging that’s easy to slip inside the purse.
- it’s a palette that can be used for day or night looks.
- all eyeshadows have silky, creamy and smooth texture.
- the eyeshadows have little to no fall outs.
- the eyeshadows are very easy to blend.
- the eyeshadows are pigmented. Biscuit is a little less pigmented, but I think it is intended to be a bit sheer to be a good base for the rest of the shades.
- all four shades complement each other. It’s a no-brainer eyeshadow palette, wherein you can wear the colors alone or layer them for a more fab look. It looks perfect on the eyes no matter how you wear them.
- it has a cheat sheet inside, which can be very helpful for newbies.
I wish Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette…
- has mirror and brushes for easy touch ups.
Tips on Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette
- Apply an eyeshadow primer to make it long lasting and to prevent the shadow from creasing. This is especially important if you have oily lids.
Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette Verdict
Happy Skin Cosmetics is known to have fuss-free, easy-to-apply products and I’m happy that this also holds true with Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette. Not all ladies are confident putting on some colors on their lids because they are afraid that they’ll just ruin their makeup. If you’re one of them, Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow is the perfect palette for you then! Some may find the palette a bit expensive at PHP 1,299. You’re actually paying for the quality, which is comparable to high-end brands. You do not need to have good blending skills because all their shades are smooth and silky to apply and easy to blend. It’s foolproof! đ If you have a stash of neutral eye shadows, you may wonder what makes Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette unique. Well, the palette already has the must-have neutral shades that can create day to night looks. It can be a go-to eyeshadow palette for the newbies and pros.
I love makeup, no doubt. When it comes to eye makeup though, I reach for neutral shades most of the time. Of course, I play on different colors from time to time, but I must admit, a girl can never have enough neutral eyeshadows. Since I got this Happy Skin All Eyes on Hue Eyeshadow Palette, I can’t stop reaching for it whenever I’m in a hurry or even when I attend special occasions. The colors blend perfectly on the eyes and I don’t need to rack my brain thinking what colors go well together. As a proof, I actually used this palette on several weddings I attended for the past months. Here’s a sample look.
I first applied Biscuit all over the lids. I used Espresso starting from my lashline, blending upwards, and also applied on my outer-v and crease. To soften the crease, I layered it with Hazelnut. For a bronzy shimmer finish, I tapped Hazelnut on the center of my lids. Lastly, I used Oatmeal to highlight my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes.
