I’ve always been a fan of Racks Pork Ribs. It is not a joke when I say, I can eat them all day, errday! Racks is still the best ribs in town for me and I’m quite sure most of you would agree. So, when I was told that Racks now has a cool younger brother, I got really curious. The first thing that came to my mind, do they serve the exact pork ribs? Well, for someone who eats them often, I should know!
Presenting… Rackshack, the younger brother of Racks. What makes it different? It has an innovative barbecue concept designed to delight the young and hip millennial set with some #FiredUpBBQ. Ordering a dish of your choice comes in 3 simple steps. Step 1: Choose your meats. You can choose from Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork, Sausages, Chicken, etc. Step 2: Choose your sides. Step 3: Choose your sauce. Yes, there is a variety of sauces to choose from, but of course, they still have the famous Racks sauce, known as the ‘Mother Sauce’. All the sauces are actually on the tables and shelves so you can freely mix and match to fit your unique taste.
Rackshack also offers a variety of dishes, such as Street Corn Salad, Carnitas Plate, Harajuku Potato Salad, Creole Garlic Shrimp, and Fish and Chips. As you can see, the menu has Southern, Mexican, English, Spanish, Japanese and other Asian influences.
If Racks offers a family-friendly experience, Rackshack makes it a perfect hangout place with friends since it features Treat or Dare dart board, Rackshack-style beer pong, Foosball, and other board games. Plus, they serve craft beers too! Yup, they are cool like that! LOL!
Oh, and if you’re wondering if the Pork Ribs taste the same as the older brother’s, YES IT IS! Also, did I mention that Rackshack is even more affordable than Racks? The single slab of Pork Ribs is a little smaller, but cheaper.
Anyway, gotta go since writing this post made me crave for their pork ribs AGAIN!
Rackshack is located at SM Aura and Ayala Circuit Mall. Check out Rackshack on Facebook and @rackshackph on Twitter and Instagram.
